Thus restaurant is under the impression it is Michelin star standard but it certainly is not. The decor is sub 1970s the food is average and the wine is overpriced and poor quality. The ambience is poor. Grandmas sitting room. The management is rude and arrogant.

We were recommended by friends who live locally to try one of the 3 course mid week lunch specials - a good choice and at only £23 for a Michelin quality restaurant excellent value. Could not fault the meal or the service

We were late, very late, thanks to the Salisbury Ring Road, but nothing was too much trouble for the hosts. A fabulous welcome and a marvellous meal, Michelin class menu which was an absolute delight. We will be back again and again. So sad that we only just found out about the place.

My wife and I stayed here, in a very spacious room that was comfortably decorated and clean. My son his, girlfriend and her parents joined us for dinner. We ordered widely from a very tempting menu and each of us thoroughly enjoyed a three course meal with good wine. The locally sourced food was of a very high standard and cooked... More

We were staying nearby and booked the restaurant for Fathers Day lunch. The booking process was very efficient and helpful. As we had small children and a dog with us they kindly offered to set up a tale In the conservatory which we had to ourselves. We expected the food to be first class but unfortunately presentation took precedence over... More

We'd heard great things about The Three Lions restaurant, and so I booked it as a surprise for my husbands Birthday and we weren't disappointed. The food was exceptional, and they were happy to do a childs portion of the same gorgeous menu for both the children (aged 9 and 11). We stayed for two nights in a lovely garden... More

Room: Very spacious, very comfortable bed, quiet location, old fashioned in style of decoration, room was clean but not spotless, dusty in a few places that had been missed. We were even given old towels to use for our dog as we'd forgotten them which was very kind! Overall, we'd stay again if we were in the area. Restaurant: Food... More

We had to visit Fareham in the morning and looked in Trenchermans for a decent restaurant to have lunch at on our way home. The write ups in Trip Advisor for the Three Lions seemed to be ok so we thought we'd give it a try. The welcome was good and we were offered drinks and nibbles as we waited... More

Thanks for the 4/5 marks for food & service! I would also like to say we have not increased prices across the board for 4 years because this recession, even though food prices have increased significantly. We particularly think our 3 course £23.50 lunch & £29.50 diner menus are very good value. More

Always an excellent meal here and the accommodation is very good too. Ideal for a family gathering where some need to stay overnight. Mike is a superb chef and the meals whilst are towards the pricier side of mid price, are excellent value for money and a meal to remember.

The three lions is a warm friendly and welcoming establishment. The staff greet you with genuine smiles and instantly make you feel very welcome. We booked a table but on arrival was asked if we wanted our coats taken and invited to sit in the bar area enjoying nibbles with our drinks whilst perusing the menu. The menu has a... More
