Have been avoiding The Peate Spade for some time due to previous bad experiences with poor service and uninterested staff. Read some good reviews about the place recently and decided to give it another try, as the management has changed. We were not disappointed. Had a lovely dinner and experienced excellent customer service. Would definitely recommend it again now.

We popped in for quick refreshments on the way home from trout 'n' about in Stockbridge. The staff are welcoming & friendly. Although the food looked & smelled good as it was carried past us, we were only stopping for a drink. Highly recommend

We sat outside first but then came inside as it was cold. The benches we sat on outside almost fell apart, had I been heavier I would've been on the floor ! Nevertheless, the ambience inside was lovely, and a lovely place to stop to refuel before heading out again for a cycle.

We stayed here and had the most beautiful supper. The staff were all friendly, especially the lovely Australian waitress. We hope to be back soon.

We love it here and we were thrilled to discover it by chance one day. We drive about 15 minutes each way to eat here. The staff are friendly and welcoming. The food is wonderful. The Peat Spade manages to combine the atmosphere of a traditional country pub with exceedingly high quality food and a delightful place to stay. We ate here a few years ago and returned last month to stay for a few days as well as enjoy the food. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, keen to hear what you think and... More
