Great meat board.

We came here after a walk in Stockbridge for a Sunday lunch. The staff were very friendly and food was delicious. I'd highly recommend the meat potter with local salamis, meats and chutney - fantastic. Good range of beers too.

I've driven past several times but never had the time to pop in. On our way to a business meeting we thought we'd give it a go. I had the wild mushroom and celeriac soup and my word, it was the nicest soup I've ever had. So much so, I had to share it with the others on the table... More

We had some lunch a couple of times here in 2014 and it was pretty great. This time it was pretty shocking in just about every respect. In brief: We turned up to an almost empty pub, chose something off the menu on the bar but were told 'sorry we are too busy'. We were offered bar snacks but the... More

Had great expectations after browsing their website. Beetroot so hard were unable to bite it let alone cut it. Tiny piece of cheese that was mainly rind. Cold runny egg that was supposed to be pickled. Was coloured yellow but no hint of pickle. Two pickled onion skins!! Half a mini pork pie. Two x inch squared ham hock terrine,5... More

If you take the time to describe what you are getting within your choice of meal, then at least make sure you get everything listed. I had 2 items missing today without any explanation. It's not cheap, the menu is very limited. The staff are friendly. If you are paying for a dish then you should get what is listed.

We're always wary about returning to somewhere we've had a fabulous meal, but this time it worked out. The roast beef (with a mound of accompaniments) was even tastier than it had been on our previous visit, the staff are friendly and the atmosphere excellent. What's not to like?

My partner, daughter and I booked a table for Sunday lunch as we moved to the area recently and have heard great things about this place. We opted for the roast beef at £15 per meal it's a little pricier than what we'd normally pay but you get what you pay for and what we got was high quality meat... More

We have been here several times now, and each time we love it. The staff are friendly and offer great service, the decor, the ambiance, the firepit outside is especially good specially for pre dinner drinkys, plus the food is outstanding. I have just heard that they are closing for a refurb. I hope this does not take the charm... More
