We have been here several times now, and each time we love it. The staff are friendly and offer great service, the decor, the ambiance, the firepit outside is especially good specially for pre dinner drinkys, plus the food is outstanding. I have just heard that they are closing for a refurb. I hope this does not take the charm... More

Had a great Sunday Lunch here, great food good service etc etc. There were some obviously new staff on, but they were being shadowed by more experienced members so all was good, and we all have to learn. We were eating at 2.30pm as that was the soonest they could serve us, service was a little slow but no drama... More

Small menu, however we were a party of 6 and all of our dishes were superb from sharing charcuterie to aged steaks and raspberry macaroons .

I have not visited the peat spade for 20 yrs, was always a great Sunday pub if I remember. Went on a rainy Wednesday to meet my sister and great to see the pub has had a great facelift and quite modern now. Really loved the decor. Lunch was good, tasty but just a little under temperature for my liking,... More

Had lunch here and it was really very good. The new owners are really friendly (unlike the last lot) and so are the staff especially Fran who was extremely efficient. The fish and chips were very good and well presented as was everything else. Having tried most of the hostelries in Stockbridge and environs, this place is the best locally.

We popped in for lunch and enjoyed a delicious burger with fantastic hand cut chips. All topped off by some attentive service from the lovely young ladies. Definitely worth a return visit

We had some very special guests joining us, so we wanted to find the perfect place. And we did! The setting, service, food, wine and atmosphere was wonderful. I highly recommend the crab starter and the Venison main, and will definitely be returning. Thank you

We went to the Peat Spade Inn today to celebrate my Mum's 70th birthday. We booked in advance and were able to have the Mayfly Mess which is a lovely room above the main pub. It is spacious and accommodated all 16 of us, plus a puppy with ease. We were also able to use the terrace which adjoined the... More

Stopped on the off chance for a snack lunch having seen the sign 'beer battered cockles'. A very popular Inn and we were lucky to be able to eat without a reservation on a Saturday lunchtime. Booking is advisable. Three good ales on offer and the Longhorn Burger was cooked to perfection - on the rare side, so succulent. The... More
