We stayed here and had the most beautiful supper. The staff were all friendly, especially the lovely Australian waitress. We hope to be back soon.

We love it here and we were thrilled to discover it by chance one day. We drive about 15 minutes each way to eat here. The staff are friendly and welcoming. The food is wonderful. We love the side of ham, roast beef sandwiches, roast etc. They serve champagne by the glass at affordable prices and you can take a... More

The Peat Spade manages to combine the atmosphere of a traditional country pub with exceedingly high quality food and a delightful place to stay. We ate here a few years ago and returned last month to stay for a few days as well as enjoy the food. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, keen to hear what you think and... More

It provides the perfect retreat to relax and revive yourself after an excellent days fishing on the beautiful river Test. The rooms at the Inn are very well presented and comfortable. The dining room offers a good choice of dishes and an extensive wine... More

Third visit, we usually have tasty 8.50 starter at lunch times BUT, this time only a couple of mouthfuls with bread £3 extra. Disappointed. Won't visit again.

The cleanliness is outstanding and the staff are all polite and smile. There are good selections of a wide range of wines and beers available plus guest beers throughout the year.

We booked late and were surprised there was a table free, as we know it if often booked solid - a good sign. The menu is not cheap, in common with many restaurants in the Stockbridge area, but there is an excellent selection, and my choice of battered hake with hand cut chips and crushed peas was tremendous value and... A couple of months ago, we had a really good evening meal but unfortunately lunch yesterday was disappointing. Two of us had fish (hake) and chips. The chips were enormous and tasted like roast potatoes that had been cooked the day before and then heavily fried. I had one and that was enough. The fish was also over cooked in... More
