My wife & I travelled from Salisbury to Stockbridge to have lunch at the restaurant. I went to the bar (as required) to order chilli & rice and gammon steak from the set menu. I also ordered one tea and one Americano with hot milk. There was only one staff member behind the bar, a young foreign lad whose command... More

Thank you for your feedback. The management and the receptionist had spoken to you before you left the hotel regarding this and you stated that it was not a problem just that you thought it should be brought to our notice. We have retrained the staff member in question. More

Food Ok, not good value for money, also noisy & a bit scruffy, think would be better in the separate restaurant

My wife and I decided to treat my sister-in-law and her husband to a meal. My wife suffers from coeliac disease and in the past the Grosvenor have provided decent meals for her, even on occasion going the extra mile to make her something from scratch. We arrived an looked through the new and rather limited menu. My wife decided... More

I went here with my husband and daughter on a Wednesday in half term at about 2 pm as they served food all day but I won't be returning. There were at least 5 staff that I saw but the service was very slow. My husband and daughter had nearly finished their food before my meal arrived. The portions were... More

My friend and I called in for a snack Saturday lunchtime. I have always liked the hotel bar and managed to get a window seat. The service was quick but our food was very disappointing. My pork wrap was tasteless and my friend's chicken sandwich was inedible. Both were accompanied by scraps of brown lettuce. I was going to complain... More

Had roast beef Sunday Lunch. Quick service, nicely cooked fresh veg but meat very tough. One of the bar staff didn't even understand English.

Myself and my husband came here for a nice quiet meal to celebrate my birthday! We were a bit dubious because of the reviews.. But what a pleasant surprise! The food was delicious and the staff were lovely! Becca and Vince had made an extra effort to decorate the table and even have me a muffin with candle in so... More

Went for a family meal, pre booked. 11 adults and 4 children. Arrived and left to find our own table which although had a reserved sign on had people sat eating who begrudgingly moved to another smaller table. Why a party of 2 would sit at a a table for 15 baffles me but we were left to sort this... More

Lots of great walks nearby - great to have a place for tea and cake afterwards where the dog can come too , in fact dog was given a biscuit by the barman so dogs very much welcome . Coffee and cake for £3.00 too , can't go wrong with that .
