Lovely place to stay. Very welcoming. Have your own space and further enough away from the pub to make it seem like you don't have to watch what you do/ say to much in your room.

Traditional Inn with friendly welcoming staff. We enjoyed local food a broughton buffalo burger and locally caught trout both beautifully cooked and presented. Staff talked enthusiastically about desserts and highly recommended the cheesecake, which didn't disappoint. Nice vibe and happy locals in this pub

We have enjoyed 3 meals on 3 different occasions and every time the food and beer has been first class. We have enjoyed fresh fish, local produce and the most amazing desserts. The staff were so friendly and helpful and highly recommended dishes and we were not disappointed it's lovely to see people so happy at work even in the... More

I visited here with family for Sunday dinner after a recommendation that the food was amazing. Was disappointed by quite a limited menu, which actually was over priced pub grub.

Had a new culinary experience last night but I would not recommend it to anyone. It was deep fried battered cod skin. It is beyond me why any self respected chef or cook would put it in front of a customer and pass it off as a fried fillet of cod, albeit small. It is not the standard that is... More

We tried this pub when we stayed in Stockbridge last year and enjoyed it so much that we ate there again on the other night of our stay. There was no question that we would eat there for all 3 nights of this year's stay in the town and we definitely weren't disappointed. The staff are really friendly and attentive... More

I ate here one evenings with friends hoping for good pub grub. The prices were expensive for the food served. I ordered gammon egg and chips. The gammon and eggs were average, the chips were of the frozen variety. Homemade chips from the "talented chefs" would have saved the day.

Food good, service good. Extremely cheeky only serving us one portion of wedges when ordered two, when we asked, you said there was two portions put in one pot, and still made us pay for two when there quite clearly was only one portion there!

Had been to see the Warhorse in Southampton and was driving mum back to Thruxton. We suddenly realised we were both very hungry and decided to pop into The White Hart. We found a nice little table for two and ordered the fish, chips and mushy peas (standard size). It didn't take long to arrive, was piping hot and the... More

A most pleasant lunch. Service was excellent, very friendly and welcoming. The menu offered a wide range to suit all of our needs. We were a varied group of six. The homemade soup was exceptional as was the sharing platter. Main courses of tuna and steak & ale pie were delicious. Location near to the A30 was very convenient and... More
