We have been visiting this restaurant for years - we use it often for light lunches and fairly regularly for dinner. When we want to celebrate, or take friends somewhere special - then we choose La Parisienne! I looks French, it sounds French ... and it tastes French. The menu is fairly extensive, and always delicious, the staff efficient, helpful... More

Myself and my hubby go here at least 2/3 times a month. It is an all round great restaurant. We have been for light lunches, romantic evening meals, meals out with friends and meas with family. It is all round a wonderful restaurant able to cater for all types of people. Wonderful food and the best french coffee ever :-)

We were thrilled to find such a perfectly french restaurant on our doorstep, and looked forward to eating there often. However our 3-person meal was very disappointing - and rather expensive. My £20 plat de jour was just a bit of tired and tasteless fried fish, and a few badly cooked veges. And 3 lamb chops with underdone sautee potatoes... More

We visited La Parisienne for dinner to mark our 8th wedding anniversary. Incidentally, our first 'meal date' was to the same restaurant more than 10 years ago! The staff may have changed over the years but they are still french! and the food selection and quality has not and nor has the general ambiance of the restaurant. It was pleasing... More

Seven of us had a stunning Sunday evening meal at this restaurant. All the staff are French, but all speak good English! I had scallops followed by Dover Sole, both were well prepared and seasoned and were very well prepared, cooked and served by a highly competent French waitress. The entire design and setting of this restaurant is exemplary. Booking... More

We visited for a light Sunday lunch. The restaurant was well attended and we sat in the bar section, which has all the atmosphere of a typical French bar. We ordered a starter of French baguette with butter, while waiting for our main course of mushroom and roquefort cheese tart with salad. The bread was very fresh, a whole thin... More

We've been to this restaurant a few times over the last 10 years or so. To be honest the food seems to have slipped a bit. My wife ordered a filet steak, but when it turned up it didn't really look like a filet. I had a chicken liver salad and exactly 12 hours later woke up with a bad... More

Surely this is the best French Restaurant in the South coast region. From the moment you are greeted in French by the all French staff they are very friendly and not the least bit pretentious. The building is, I suspect a converted pub, but the ambience is very authentic . This was our second visit and this time we sat... More

You are transported to France when you enter La Parisienne. Yes, it is one of the pricier restaurants in Romsey but it is worth it for a treat. Delicious food and excellent service.

Ate here for my wife's birthday, staff are always very welcoming and friendly, my kids both wanted to experience eating here having been plenty of times for the odd drink. It was lovely, because it was a hot day we were offered a table outside which was very pleasant, all of the food was outstanding, especially the "salad Parisienne" which... More
