Excellent Beer, but......

A really nice, old fashioned pub that serves an excellent selection of beer which was nicely looked after. My wife had a mushroom rissotto which she described as 'very tasty, but a lttle rich'. I ordered a beef sandwich. After asking if I wanted brown or white bread (Answer: 'white') I was... read more

I'm not sure what else to say except this restaurant is fantastic. I really great find! Such well presented food, incredibly tasty. Service outstanding, the staff made me a veggie pie as an additional option to the other veggie options (which were hard to choose as I wanted one of each!). Friendly and tentative staff. Warm welcome and great atmosphere.... More

My husband and I visited the 3 Tuns for a weekend lunch. They were advertising 2 courses for £12 on the board out the front of the pub so I ordered a starter and my husband ordered a main. The food arrived reasonably quickly and was not at all bad. When I went to the bar to settle the bill... More

Despite it being a Monday night, the kitchen was on top form. The sea trout with beetroot and goats cheese risotto was superb. It's early in the season for sea trout but boy was it tasty with that freshness and slight sweetness you just don't get from river trout. The coffee creme brûlée was also to die for! Congratulations on... More

The three tuns sits on the main road into Romsey, which a medium size, very pretty market town in Hampshire. The pub and restaurant is situated within a very old building, and the interior is very much what you would expect from a real old fashioned English country pub. Loads of tradional wood finish, roaring open fire, and an excellent... More

We use to use the Three tuns regularly 5/6 years ago and loved the staff and food and drink, then they changed their beers and it was not to my taste so we moved on, we recently thought we would give it a go and the beers had changed, (very much to my liking) the staff were exemplary, nothing was to... Dined here with friends on a Sunday lunch time. Very busy but the staff did not make you feel rushed. Orders, drinks and meals all arrived without a long wait. The meal was exceptional, everyone one of us savoured the flavours, in fact there was very little talking at the table, a sign of a good meal. The choice on... More

Ended up in this pub by chance midweek for supper and to catch up with friends. All had fantastic meals - great choice and resonably priced. So good we came back on Sunday for lunch after a lovely walk in the surrounding countryside with our dog, who also enjoyed his doggie treat of beef topside - an excellent find!

Romsey's finest pub! I have eaten here a few times and gone in for a snack or two. Great set of local ales to choose from, which went great with my fish and chips and my friends burger! Staff were really friendly and service was fast. All in all it was a great meal out and would thoroughly recommend this... More
