Unusual but good food for a pub

Sunday lunch at the Three Tuns in Romsey offered a choice of their restaurant or eating in the bar, which is what we chose. The choice included traditional sunday lunch options, but I chose the local trout which was worthy of a Masterchef trophy, with immaculate presentation and different textures... read more

Arrived at 1245 for lunch. Shown directly to the table by a friendly chap. Took our drink order and within 10 mins the waitress took our lunch order. Food arrived quick was hot and and very tasty. It was busy so you do need to ring and book a table. All the staff were excellent and checked if everything was... More

We ate their for a family meal (for four) early evening on a weekday. The food was excellent, service very friendly and efficient, and the atmosphere delightful. On the evening we were there, a large party had booked - which in many small pubs / restaurants can have disastrous implications for other diners. We experienced NO delays - either in... More

My wife had the fish and chips with mushy peas. Good white fish with just a small amount of batter. I had the local trout. A lovely pink fish and the whole plate had been very artistically presented. There was a fillet of fish and also fish in small cucumber parcels. The whole meal was a sophisticated delight. I was... More

This is a little gems of a pub in Romsey. We went there for lunch. They had a good menu which we were able to discuss with the staff before we ordered. The food was freshly cooked, well presented and very good indeed. In addition the staff were really friendly and welcoming. They have a reasonable selection of ales which... More

The choice included traditional sunday lunch options, but I chose the local trout which was worthy of a Masterchef trophy, with immaculate presentation and different textures and flavours. This may sound a bit far fetched, but if you want to experience it go to the Three Tuns. The pub is standard,in between two streets in Romsey, the garden is in the back and the street there a bit more noticible, but not loud .The food:high class ,prepared and presented as if you were in a four and a half star restaurant, prices as... Visited the Three Tuns today to try one of their sunday roasts after being recommended by some friends & was not disappointed. After looking at the menu & being served drinks from a very exstensive bar selection by very attentive staff we were treated to a 3 course meal far superior to your normal pub fayre. In fact i would... More

Regular visits to this dog friendly pub because of consistently good food and wine... Attentive service team... Good wine list, do enquire about the gin selection!
