Lovely atmosphere

This has a lovely old interior and makes for an authentic old Inn feeling. The pub is set in a quiet attractive street at front although at the back beyond the car park is a busy main road. You don't get bothered by the noise if you sit out front or are in the pub. The staff are friendly and... read more

Having used The three tuns to meet for a drink in the past we decided to try it for supper. In my view the menu is limited to say the least. In fact there was not really one thing as starter or main that I fancied. The specials were limited and a chicken leg dish at £12 didn't leap out... More

Sometimes you get things wrong, and I am happy to admit that after one disappointing visit, I need to say that the Three Tuns produced some excellent food. Delicious, perfectly cooked fish and risotto. Two happy children with juicy well made burgers and a nice bottle of wine. The menu is limited, but means that everything is excellent and seasonal... We returned to the Three Tuns after a few years (on our previous visit the food was excellent). This time we had fish and chips, the fish was greasy, overcooked and the chips we very oily. And do not get me started on the drinks....The staff is very disinterested....

We had a Sunday lunch here a long time ago and had a very nice experience, and decided to give it another go for a family get-together. The main disappointment of our visit this time was the roast beef which had been really good on our previous visit, as well as great service. The menu said topside, but we thought... More

We ate here many years ago and it was superb so we decided to eat here again. Big mistake. The roast was drenched in a tar like sauce and the fish and chips very greasy. The wine not fit to be served. When we complained about the wine the waitress laughed and was not prepared to take it off the... More

I love this place!! The food is amazing, its so hard to get good pub grub being coeliac and this is really top notch. There is a whole gluten free menu and the staff have been happy to speak to the chef to adapt specials to gf. The chef/s are clearly passionate and creative and cook fresh honest food. This... More

We looked forward to dining at the Three Tunns, when we returned to Romsey, as our lunch during a previous visit was delicious. Unfortunately, we were very disappointed. The menu is very limited, even the specials, and good ingredients were spoilt by confusing flavours. If you are going to limit the menu, then at least make the food memorable. The... More

We chose the Three Tuns for a midweek supper with friends, as had liked the beer on previous visits and recently heard good things from family about the food. The beer is still good, food presentable and staff are the right mix of friendly and quite efficient - which all makes for a comfortable atmosphere and good service in what... More

Arrived at 1245 for lunch. Shown directly to the table by a friendly chap. Took our drink order and within 10 mins the waitress took our lunch order. Food arrived quick was hot and and very tasty. It was busy so you do need to ring and book a table. All the staff were excellent and checked if everything was... More
