We enjoyed a relaxed weekday lunch here. A little pricey for the portion sizes but the quality was fantastic. We shared some starters including crab toast, beetroot salad, tempura and bread. All of the dishes were nicely cooked.

We booked a table last minute, and had to eat in the bar, as the restaurant was full. This was no hardship though. Despite it being a very warm evening the bar was cosy and had a good feel. We were brought a bottle of ice cold water, and tumblers full of ice and lemon to cool down, whilst we... More

First time I stayed here and would highly recommend this place to stay and eat. The accommodation is perfect. Beautiful rooms, clean and comfortable. They were very booked up in the restaurant but still got us in. The food was amazing. The staff are very friendly and helpful. There is nothing negative to say about this place.

Went for lunch last week with my mum & dad. Lovely olde worlde pub with lots of character, beams , fireplace, etc. Staff were very warm & welcoming. It was a very hot day so we sat outside in the small patio garden, I had the ploughman’s which was delicious , proper home baked ham & good portion of cheese... More

We went as a family for a birthday celebration. We have been before and its been OK but getting worse, and this was confirmation of patchy service and declining standards. The waiter confessed he was an expert on beer and not on wine - which was clear from a £22.50 bottle of white which was clearly very young and not... More

Had heard good things about The Three Tuns, but have eaten here twice now & it's not been as good as I'd hoped. Service is nice and friendly, and an attractive menu, but the goods don't quite deliver. Portion sizes are on the small side, which I don't mind as it's better than eating too much or wasting food. But... More

Went here for a quick pint one Sunday ran a tab and forgot to pay. Luckily we had such a nice drink after our walk we thought we'd go back for another tipple after our walk. The barmaid who served us just calmy said would you like to settle your bill now ? To my horror and embarrement I realised... More

We had booked an evening meal for two on a Thursday evening. We were well received & shown to our table - I really detest small tables for two but no matter! Very young waiting staff but very keen and polite - not sure about being referred to as 'you guys' or 'you folks' though. The food on offer was... More

Visited with friends. Great food as always and very very tasty. Portion sizes are extremely small. We had beer battered cod and chips. Five chips were on the plate. We had to ask for more chips which they didn't end up charging us for. Other than that everything else is good. Great location, walking distance from Romsey.

I had booked a table for 5 for dinner on a Friday evening. The menu was limited and the food was was extremely slow to arrive. If the restaurant area had been very busy, I would have been a little more understanding but we were one of the only tables. The tart of the day had been replaced with an... More
