Nice but pricey

Good: nice beer garden, upmarket feel, food ok Cons: pricey, soul-less Overall ok for the area and the best place to take family to in the sun in the area

Great place inside and out for a bite to eat or a drink, staff are friendly, good menu and choices to choose from and lovely atmosphere inside with a few fires going and the log interior look and feel with plenty of parking. One of my favourites for a bit more of a special night out.

I normally go here with my sister and niece for lunch. We have had some great meals. We love the 2 course lunches and the homemade soups are really delicious

I've been here few days ago for dinner... The atmosphere is very nice, elegant and very original. The food on the plates was very well presented as in a finest restaurant, very tasty! I was really impressed because is something different from the others pub I tried before. The prices are normal, just a little comment... The waiter was pressing... More

Food is OK but pricey. However the toilets were like this for the whole 2 hours we were there so goodness knows what the kitchen is like

We had dinner and drinks and the food was good. The only point I can make is that the burghers were a bit too salty, still the meals were nice. We had drinks twice and happy with the service and the drinks themselves. Spacious inside. I would go back!

Only lived in the area a year, so still discovering places. After serious shopping with teenager stopped for lunch. Fish finger sandwich spotted and ordered. Waitress took my whole order from the garden as I am on crutches. 😊 very helpful. Sandwich comes with fries. Sandwich tasty and hot, only criticism is: could there be three fish fingers? The fish... Would like a response from the manager/brewery, have been going to the Oatsheaf for many years, the last few visits with friends for their discounted champagne and Sparking wine evenings on a Thursday have left me very surprised, just going on latest visit we ordered 4 separate bottles of sparkling wine and on each occasion was charged full price 4... We went for lunch and given it was such a nice day we sat in the large garden. The was a good menu and the food was good quality, though not particularly cheap. The staff weren't overly friendly but served quickly and efficiently.

Great pub, great drinks and a fantastic garden. Food here is good as well. Service leaves a little to be desired at times and can be a little slow but otherwise a great place.
