I ate in 3 different place whilst visiting Fleet recently. This was by far the best. Its a very nice, friendly place. The staff were friendly, helpful and attentive. The whole place has a really good atmosphere and is decorated very well. The food was tasty good quality produce as well as presentation. I would say this place should be... More

Generally disappointing. Went for a meal last evening, didn't get a particularly warm welcome, when seated, tool a while before we were asked if we wanted to order a drink and then take our order. One out of the four drinks was wrong, but quickly changed. Had a mezze, which has shrunk in size compared to a year ago. Main... More

Cozy pub, with lots of dining space. Always a popular spot during the summer months with a large beer that catches the sunshine. Good food, prices vary compared to portion sizes but not to bad. Friendly staff and pleasant atmosphere. A nice spot for a nice drink. Ideal for friends or families of all ages.

Used to visit regularly, service used to be with a smile but not any more, some of the newer staff are sullen and rude. Furniture has become dirty and tatty, tables are often dirty and not cleared. Food is inconsistent in quality, drinks overpriced, that's ok if higher prices get you comfort and a nice ambience, sadly this is no... More

Four of us three of whom used the pub on a regular basis over a number of years decided to try it for an evening meal. The atmosphere was O.K., admittedly it was fairly full but the staff appeared to have trouble coping. Three out of the four meals were reasonable but the steak was almost inedible. We complained but... More

We decided to end our family day out with a meal at the Oatsheaf. We pass it nearly every day but have never been in. Nice décor and the waitress was courteous and pleasant. Inspection of the menu showed a good selection of food albeit pricey. My 18 year old son and husband decided to have the crab and king... More

Last time we came here the waitress was very sociable and helpful, but this time we were greeted by a curt 'Have you booked?' - which hardly seemed necessary on a weekday lunch time. We were shown a table in a corner right underneath the speakers and the music was quite loud. We asked to move as there were loads... More

Have to agree with last post. Was nice place to go but gone down hill very quickly. Now only visit occasionally. Place needs a good clean, some new furniture and some polite, friendly managers & bar staff. Some of bar staff still very friendly but some recent additions their customer service is shocking.
