A friend advised us about this place which is tucked away in the woods just outside Church Crookham. We went along for a evening dinner and the place was packed, however the waiter did manage to find us a table. My wife opted for the Goats Chees Wellington whilst i went for the half rack of Ribs. The waiter was... More

Following a long walk with our dog in the forest behind the pub we met up with our family. We had a great meal and drinks. The food was excellent value for money and tasted fantastic. The atmosphere in the pub is warm and extremely friendly. We took our dog with us and it was allowed into the public area... More

I felt that Foresters couldn’t care less and lied to us. As can’t rely on even if booking in advance or complaining. Tries to be high class pub with setting and price (two small scoops of ice cream charged £5.95) but totally fails as has knifes, folks and serviettes in beer glass on table to serve yourself and too busy... they let the dog in the bar and garden area (which are both really lovely and cosy). It is based right next to some fantastic walks. They are family friendly. In the past i have eaten in both the restaurant and bar area but these days just the bar are due to dog/family etc. Food is pricy but good. service... More

I took my mother for a late Sunday Lunch [4ish] last Sunday....vegetables were very tired and looked overcooked and meat looked unappetising in the carvery area so we gave that a miss...I had the sausages as a banker...wrong!...two fairly small sausages and dried out....altogether disapointing...maybe it was bad timing as have had nice meals there in the evening....wouldnt go back... While staying with family were recommended The Foresters by mutual friends. Very busy for a mid week but a disappointing visit. Not a large menu choice for such a large place so limited for children and vegetarians. Several of our group chose fish & chips but some portions were still full of bones. I had the burger which at nearly... More

Excellent food , though limited choice for vegetarians. Very helpful staff. Film nights on outdoor screen every Friday in August. Beautiful setting in woods in Church Crookham.

The restaurant is located right in the forest, delightful - the food not so special and overpriced. We were disappointed with the food - the menus are highly descriptive but the food quite plain - overall a disappointing visit where we had average food which did not meet the hyperbole of the flowery description which we therefore felt was overpriced.

The pub is in a lovely setting and we had a very friendly welcome. It was quite busy and I was expecting a quality meal. I had a stuffed burger which was well presented, however it was tasteless and over priced in my opinion. My husband had the Kobe burger which he said was good. We both had a burger and... More
