A breath of fresh air compared with the chaos of the previous owners. Warm welcome form Georgia. Both starters we excellent particularly the goats cheese soufflé. Just rubbish , don't know what the people around this area are used to , well I do not a good Resturant for miles. We went there since it opened with Pam & her husband Colin , there soufflé was to die for , the one I had you could bounce off the walls. My daughter had fish , which... More

Rang restaurant on a Friday night to book a table for my wife and myself for the Saturday. Left message on their answer phone giving day and time I wanted the table ,with my home phone number. Can't believe they were shut on a Friday night so they must have got my message. However they couldn't be bothered to ring... More

Unfortunately this review was posted minutes before we returned this gentlemen's phone call, apologising for only just getting the message! We had a fault with our hand set on Friday evening and only discovered that there were messages on our land line on Saturday at 6pm. The land line is diverted to a dedicated mobile phone when we are not... More

Overall we thought this poor, it was very much a mixed bag. The courgette soup was probably the best dish, it was tasty, seasonal and fresh. There was a main course pork loin dish to include black pudding. Instead of the black pudding being a small element of the dish, there were two enormous chunks equal in size to the... More

Thank you for your feedback and I am sorry you did not enjoy your experience at our restaurant. We do ask if everything is ok with every tables main courses and having checked with the waitress that you were so complimentary about she has confirmed that this was the case with your table. We don't profess to be perfect but... More

We visited a couple of months ago with another couple and had a super time, the food is fresh, attractive in presentation and above all else very tasty. The restaurant itself is rustic and has a romantic charm about it. The staff are attentive and friendly and are clearly trying to deliver a high end experience and with practice will... More

Very relaxed but providing discreet excellent service; a menu hard to choose from- and all of us delighted with our choices. Although no 'children's menu children felt welcome (toddler and babe) and they provided child-sized portion of any meal plus parts of menus.

We visited following a recommendation and it's a real hidden gem. It looks very quaint from the outside although to be honest I was nervous as we went in that it might have been a mistake. I think the current owners are temporary (may be wrong) so the building wasn't as up together as it might be but has been... More
