Managed to pop back for another very pleasant lunch. Tried the latest five course local/foraged tasting menu. Beautifully presented precise cooking with some bold and inventive combinations. Swede with whey, Pigeon Carpaccio with Sorrel and Apple came with lumps of a sort of hardened foam, sounds strange but was delightful. Roast Plaice with Alexanders and a sharp berry sauce. Neck... The restaurant is cosy but beatufully presented, the linen was of the highest standard. Staff were most attentive but not intrusive, but the food was superb can't recommend highly enough, will certainly make a point of returning although living many miles away

Thank you Karen & Ramon who i worked with when they first started at 36 On the Quay back in 1996. The food was seriously great, first the salt baked swede was stunning, scallops very good, the dandelion puree was world class, pigeon was good looked stunning but i personally am not the biggest fan of pigeon, still good though.... This is the third time we've been here, spread over many years, and we were not dissapointed. There is a new head chef who has changed the menu style, and we absolutely loved it! The food is a bit more adventurous, and the quality has stayed superbly high. We had a wonderful evening and look forward to retuning soon!

Our second visit. First in 2013 was stunning but if anything this time was at another level again, far higher ! We had requested the Tasting Menu, not usually available on a Saturday and were accommodated. 8 wonderful courses, lots of locally foraged content, very well paced presentation with truly excellent service. Great matched wines and for a Michelin Star... More

Business dinner for party of 8. Excellent food, attentive service - efficient and sensitive timing. The setting is quaint and cosy. Interesting menu - mix of seafood and game. Not cheap, but price reflects the quality. Enjoyed.

No where near michelin star rating and deservedly lost. The restaurant was less than half full and we dined in quiet silence without ambiance

We have eaten in 36 several times over the years the most recent being last weekend. Over the years we have had great food so thought it was about time they had a review. The service is always fantastic. The waitresses can't do enough for you. The starters and mains this time were fantastic however we felt the desserts are... More

Found myself unexpectedly in Emsworth with time for a decent lunch. Decided to give 36 on the quay a go - its been many years since I was last here. The dining room's not changed very much if at all. Interested to see a five course tasting menu of local and foraged ingredients on offer for £30, so gave it... More
