Great food with a view

Without ever having visited The Deck before I took one of my friends there for breakfast. It turned out to be a great choice. We both had full English breakfasts which were perfectly cooked and served by friendly staff. The prices are a little higher than some of the other local cafes but this... read more

We went here for lunch on a Saturday. It is advisable to book because the place was almost fulł by 12:45. Lucky, I thought, that my friend had the foresight to book us a table! Situated on the first floor level, it offers amazing views of the harbour amidst all the boats getting their refits. That is ja free bonus...... More

We recently held a memorable birthday lunch in the private function room, and family tea party in the restaurant. It was all so beautifully done and catered to a T - nothing left apart from some delicious cake which was wrapped up for transport home! Just as it should be, and a lovely atmosphere too. We would not hesitate to... More

A beautiful evening with the sun dropping into the sea; a glass of Prosecco on a friend's yacht; to be followed by a "special" Tapas Night in The Deck. Sounds perfect. Such a shame that the food was so poor. And SO expensive! The small dishes were poorly prepared - the Patatas Bravas were lamentable, the Spanish Pizza soft and... More

Nipped in for a drop of lunch recently, did not book, but would in future, middle of nowhere but very popular which tells you a lot. Situated on the first floor of a typical boat yard building it, offers limited view of unsurprisingly a working boat yard. Wait to be served, helpful staff, brief wait, went for a simple sandwich and a glass of the... More

We have been to the Deck a few times and have generally enjoyed our visits however the service is always slow. But yesterday while we were waiting for our lunch the chef came out with food for some people who were sitting outside - and he asked my daughters if they wanted to pinch a couple of chips from the... Having eaten here many times I looked forward to a hearty breakfast at the Deck. I was sadly disappointed, being served a totally under cooked semi-warm meal. The bacon and sausages were all but raw, the tomato hard and the eggs swimming in a rather foul smelling oil. While waiting to be served I could hear the male chef bemoaning... More

We use this local restaurant in the summer, its handy and has great views over Chichester Harbour. Great for breakfast/ brunch or a light lunch. Good wines and coffees too. Great to sit on the balcony with family and friends on a warm summers day. Has a Tapas day once a week too, which I have not tried yet.

Emsworth is such a attractive town to wander around. Starting at the train station which has the most cosy and pretty waiting room. The walks and views around the harbour and sea wall are beautiful. The Deck cafe is on the eastern side of the town and can be reached via a pedestrian causeway across an inland pool leading into the...
