I took family from Scotland in there for a meal .It was the first time they have been in this area. They were amazed at how friendly the staff were and how helpful they were (Amy?) They were very impressed as I was ,so keep up the good work

We booked via the website, and were pleased to receive a "£10" off voucher. It was a horrible day - August Bank Holiday! We were seated at an excellent table with a lovely view of the lake, but were unable to order for over an hour, as my son had been delayed in terrible traffic from Devon. The waiter was... More

I have not visited this establishment for many years and now I know why. The view is the only positive aspect of this pub. We went for a family birthday and the corner that we were seated in had more spiders and cobwebs than I have ever seen, apart from maybe an old shed. It was not a particularly busy... More

location is fantastic, being directly on the lake. Interior is attractive having been refurbished. However, the last two trips there have put us off going back again since we have found the food to be poor- portions are small (bordering on stingy) and some items were clearly from a packet. Also, menu pricing seems to be designed to confuse. We... More

Last weekend we decided to go out for a roast dinner but unfortunately, our usual favourite place was packed out. We decided to try the Fishers Pond as we used to go there years ago and the place always seems busy which is a good sign. We found a table quite quickly and were attended for menus and drinks orders.... More

The location is lovely, the building itself is beautifully kept and the atmosphere is nice. The food menu is lovely and ideal for pub food but the service was extremely slow. Spoilt the evening slightly.

Interestingly, this restaurant is very close to another restaurant. However, drawn by the promise of lakeside views we went for Fishers Pond. Indeed, the views are stunning. You can sit inside or sit on a balcony overlooking the lake. So far so good. A quick glance over the menu and there was plenty on offer. So we decided to inquire... More

Just been here with my partner for our anniversary. Thought it would be nice sat outside by the lake, which it was. Everything else about the experience however was poor. The 'cheesy tear & share garlic bread' turned out to be cold bits of cheese on toast. I ordered the lamb for main, which was 90% fat and bone. My... More

We ate here late on a lovely sunny Sunday evening. We ordered a starter of bread and oil. The bread was stale. We sent it back and they said it was because it had been toasted. I can taste the difference between stale and toasted - it was stale. We were not offered our money back on the starter. We... More

We had had a disappointing meal here a few years ago and was not keen to return. But went with family and was pleasantly surprised. Decking was newly painted, coloured furniture, great location. We found a table easily, service was very good. My husband and I shared the carvery platter. Well presented, quality meat, fresh vegetables and crispy roasts, good... More
