Nice meal with family

Had a very nice meal. I had gammon which was the size of my plate so very big also was not the horrible processed gammon. My children finished their meals which they don't do often and the childrens Ice cream was huge! So they were very happy. I have been to the pub many occasions and not always... read more

Decent outside seating area with nice-ish outlook. Nice selection of beers and European lagers but if you are after a nice meal then go elsewhere, it was ok if you are expecting "value" burgers but personally I would pay a little more and have food that was freshly prepared and cooked. It's near work and ok for a drink so... More

We came here for lunch after a disaster of an evening meal at another pub the night before. The experience couldn't have been more different. The staff here were friendly and attentive, the menu was lovely and the kids menu was so refreshingly different, not a chicken nugget in sight but healthy, wholesome food. The food came out quickly, tasted... More

There wasn't a whole lot on the menu that I liked, the restaurant doesn't really cater for fussy eaters or people who don't like posh food. In the end I opted for fish and chips, and then almost choked on a fish bone. I had to run away to the toilets to stick my fingers down my throat to retrieve... More

Have been here more times than I can count! Great food brilliant local ales and fab staff. Situated in an old converted cottage it seems to have a sense of warmth and good positive atomsphere! Food is always great and well presented! Looking forward to going again tonight :-)

A superb selection of real ales. An extensive and tasty menu choice. Loads of seating. No TVs! Ample parking.

This was a surprise party for 60 people and was very well organised, the staff couldn't have been more helpful and obliging. The manageress was very welcoming and made sure that everything ran as smoothly as possible. They set up the Hog Roast with all the extra salads etc. even the Vegetarians in our group had more than enough. Everybody... More

This is a really good lively and welcoming pub. Food is good and the 2 for a tenner deal is excellent value. They always have a wide range of beers and ciders . The staff are friendly and helpful. BUT the gents toilets are often appalling. On my last vist one area was closed off because the floor was flooded,... More
