Late lunch/early dinner

Visited on bank holiday with friends staying at the hotel. No booking needed. Good menu especially the ham, egg and chips and butterfly chicken. Downside was no child's menu which is unusual now. My 9 year old had the fish pie but not surprisingly didn't eat it all. Good service. Would go back.

Food was delicious and very good value for money. The restaurant is decorated with lots of 'Jazz' stuff. The staff were very friendly.

Ordered a steak. Asked for medium I got well done. hard to chew and overpriced. My wife ordered the lemon sole served on bone, hard to eat without getting bones in your mouth. Never again

My partner and I come here regularly for Sunday roast, never even thought about doing a review. Can honestly say, this is our most favourite venue for a good quality, value roast dinner, the food is beautifully presented and exceptional quality, fresh vegetables, fine wine and a relaxed atmosphere. The staff are always more than friendly, my favourite wine already... More

Reasonable Sunday lunch. Good prosecco. Pity people were walking through the restaurant to get to the gardens for an event.

Food is very good and service friendly and efficient. Plenty of tables during the day and a quiet and relaxing experience. Often used it for business meetings over lunchtime when the atmosphere is just right for a relaxed meeting.

Nice, fresh, generous execution of the menu. What we wanted was a menu variant, and they did it, with no premium or quibbles, so hospitality in the true sense.

I took my wife here for a birthday meal. I ordered tagliatelle with Mediterranean vegetables. What turned up (with no apology or explanation) was penne. I asked the waiter if this was correct and got confitmation that i was correct (?). I thought oerhaps they had just run out if tagliatelle- but rude not to inform me. Then i started... More

The Moldy Fig is not a run of the mill restaurant, more like a show biz type of bistro. The decor includes an old mangle.....very nostalgic and there are photos around the wall of various acts who have performed over the years at the Concorde Club which it is attached to. The meal we had was superb. Eye fillet for... More
