Description: The name ‘Moldy Fig’ has its origins in jazz & was a derogatory term used by ‘be bop/modernists’ for enthusiasts of New Orleans & earlier forms of jazz. With walls that tell a thousand stories of the venue’s rich and diverse heritage, the Moldy Fig Wine Bar at The Concorde adjoins the main venue and offers a welcoming, relaxed ambiance, gorgeous homemade food, afternoon tea’s, fine wines and local real ales. It’s the ideal choice for laid-back dining – whether for business, pleasure or a bit of both! When the weather permits sit back, relax and soak up the summer sun with a drink, a meal or afternoon tea on our charming woodland terrace and riverside patio. I hired the Figg for a special birthday party and was very impressed from the start at how the staff were both helpful with their organisational skills and also very accommodationg for any special requests. The room comfortably sat 70 people and the waitresses worked very hard all evening to ensure that everyone was looked after making this a very... More

Attended a recent Xmas dinner event in the pub area. Seemed to be short of staff . Starter of pate had cold lifeless limp "toast" . Main course of turkey was poorly presented with large "slabs" of turkey laid over the vegetables. Very unappealing. Cheese board was generous but poor quality presentation. All in all the place is in need... More

Went with a party of four on Saturday night and left disappointed. The disappointment started early - all four of us ordered starters, yet only three were brought out. After a few minutes I had to ask where my starter was, the waiter went off to find out, and returned with my starter, saying "I wondered why that one was... More

I was invited by friends to Sunday lunch in a party of 24 people. Although the table bookings were for 1pm, it was 1.30pm, before the staff were ready for our party and 2.10pm, before any food appeared. We had been led through a dark auditorium that smelt of mould and then into the dining room. The pictures were askew.... More

It's an interesting place the Moldy Fig, it is very difficult to pigeon hole. It is of course attached to the CONCORDE Club close to Eastleigh. It has a very 'old fashioned' and 'traditional old school' feel to it and is stress free. The staff are welcoming and the food is of a pretty good standard. It very much suits... More

A friend and I popped in to make a Christmas booking and liked the look of the lunch menu so decided to stay. We shared the Blt and fish finger sandwich which were brought to us by a lovely lady. The service was excellent and we felt this was a special treat.

I hadn't been to this club restaurant for years and was invited for "tea". I didn't realise this meant "high tea" until the day before when, given I can't eat that stuff at the moment, I had to say: can they do something for me instead ? So with the booking changed, I had lunch while my friends ate a... More

Visited for a short business lunch and was pleasantly surprised by the service and food. The menu was varied and the service was swift considering we visited on a Friday lunch time. Prices are slightly more than the average pub, but the venue and clientele market accurately reflect the pricing. Would happily go back again with adult company. I don't... More

We booked this as a DBB package. There was live Jazz from the Dave Lewin Trio during the evening meal which was great. The food was good - some dishes better than others as is often the case. We stayed in an Executive Garden room at the adjoining Ellington Lodge which is their top graded room. It was lovely to... More
