I nipped in here for dinner with 3 colleagues. Service was impeccable; we even got treated to a local history lesson. Real Ale and proper food!

We had our classic car club meet here one evening. By prior arrangement a dining area had been set aside for those members wishing to eat. There is quite a good selection on the menu, although pretty much what you would expect for pub grub. By and large the food looked good; I had the 2 course menu at £9.95... More

The Queens Head is part of a Group/Franchise similar to the Luzborough at Romsey, same Menu. Met a good friend for Lunch, I tried the Chicken Caesar Salad (my benchmark for a good restaurant) Typically the Chicken was well seared and cooked, Croutons,Shaved Parmesan Cheese and Good Cos Lettuce with a fine Dressing but no Anchovies! Have you guys never... More

Have visited this pub on a number if occasions, and normally all ok. But decided to go as had family visiting and wished we hadn't. Not only was one starter astronomically priced-£4 (approx) for two duck spring rolls, but they then 'forgot' us, and we had almost 40 minutes wait for our main meal! Our table was at the end... More

Visited with 7 friends and family. I had the mixed grill and that was truly superb. The staff were very very good. Tended to our every need. The drinks are at a great price considering other Greene King pubs. The waiting times were great between courses. We all had 3 courses and nothing wrong with any of it. Really great... More

My wife & I visited the Queens Head with our son, his wife and their two sons after a day at Marwell. We noticed they offered 2 meals for £10 (well, £9.99 to be precise) and wondered what they would be like. We were pleasantly surprised to find the cheap menu included things like Haddock and Chicken Diane as well... More

Went with business colleagues whilst staying at Marwell. This is a decent pub - nice atmosphere, usual fayre on the menu and extremely friendly staff. Food was ok - everyone enjoyed it, but it lacked a wow factor. Did what it said on the tin, and was reasonable value.

A table was book at this pub for a Birthday Party, the party included 4 children, on arrival we were told the children would eat free, I will come back to that later in the review. We ordered our meals and explained that we would be settling the bill by paying 4 ways, not a problem. We asked for the... More

Met up with two friends for lunch at the Queen's Head yesterday. Had a lovely meal and no complaints about the food. Although, it was rather slow. Fine if you have plenty of time, which we did. We had a lot to chat about, so didn't really notice at the time. But, if you don't have much time then don't... More
