Very friendly place with decent food

Nice cosy pub in rural area. Nice menu with ample choice, for kids as well. Good ales and great quality food for a good price

A friendly and inviting pub owned by the Wadsworth Brewery. Sits in the heart of the beautiful North Hampshire countryside. Good quality freshly cooked food complimented by carefully chosen wines..try the French Sauvignon! A little pricey but you get what you pay for here. Well worth a trip out on a summers lunchtime or evening.

the pub is lovely, every time I come here I struggle to pick what I want as there is so many lovely dishes. sea bass is a personal favourite. brilliant for family's of five or more as they have round tables. staff all so accommodating and lovely.

Friendly, well run, good 'pub grub', with well maintained, attractive garden and clean premises throughout.

We have eaten here before and the atmosphere is always welcoming and warm. We called ahead to ensure we could be seated and on arrival were offered a number of tables. Service was prompt as was the three home made burger we had ordered. I cannot get overly enthused about a review which may be disappointing to anyone reading this,... More

This classic English pub is very "olde worlde" with low beams and flagged floor. Mind your head! We went at 12 noon on Saturday and the welcome was friendly and there was a choice of menu - the lunchtime one with sandwiches and smaller portions or the main menu. We chose the main menu and it had something for each... More

We had been looking for a good place for a lunch that woud not be crowded and for the first half hour we were the only ones eating. It began to fill up later and it is clearly a popular spot and we can understand why. The menu had a good choice of home cooked dishes which were well presented... More

We stopped for lunch after seeing on Tripadvisor, staff were very friendly and helpful. Good menu choices available on a Monday, food arrived quickly and was very good and well presented. Toilets were fine but a little tired and would benefit from a refresh, but clean and completely usable. Overall a good find, will go back.

It's great to find a pub that hasn't had the life modernised out of it! This is a good traditional pub with good traditional food. We've eaten there several times and never been disappointed. We always receive a friendly and warm welcome. It's our favourite place to eat when we're visiting the area.
