Poplar Farm Inn

Pub is very nice in its decor and surroundings nestling in a typical Hampshire valley. Plenty of room to park in two separate carparks. Dog friendly which pleased us. Just less than a month after discovering this place with my daughter for lunch, returned to share the excellent find with her husband for supper. It was a Tuesday evening and packed, a good sign of a places popularity so early in the week we felt. We all opted for the evening set menu which offered plenty of menu choices... More

I recently visited the poplar farm in with my partner, the service was excellent, the environment was cosy and the good was some of the best I've ever tasted- good variety and beautifully flavoured dishes. Keep coming back to this place- will highly reccomend to anyone!

Visited the Poplar Farm on a Saturday night; no reservation and frankly because our first choice told us we'd have to wait 45 mins for a table. A lucky mischance because the Poplar Farm turned out to be very good indeed I can see the reviews are variable, and I'd have to admit that the restaurant wasn't busy on our... More

Having pondered the ageing decor we decided the prices looked reasonable for the midweek evening deal. However, we should have come with a microscope to better see the miniscule portions that were placed in front of us. Worse still we were entertaining rarely visiting friends from Liverpool and we were trying to impress them with southern hospitality. We all went... More

Me and my partner tried this restaurant for the first time on Friday 29th May. We drive passed it everyday for work and finally decided to pop in for dinner... so glad we did. What a gem. When we entered there was a bench which had a glass jar on full of dog biscuits, I don't know why I liked... More

Have been driving past this place for many years en route to Salisbury and recently had the opportunity to go here for lunch with daughter and a friend. It was an excellent choice and we all enjoyed our different choices of Bap Sandwiches, Bacon and Brie, Kofta and Steak, all tasty. Drinks, Two Desserts and Coffees and the bill for... More

Arrived to be welcomed by bar staff who told us to sit where we wanted and someone would come and take our order, while looking for a table another member of staff wanted to show us to one, we ordered drinks and looked at the menu, our food order for 2 roast dinners 1 pork and the other a platter... Popped in for a bite to eat on a Saturday afternoon, greeted by friendly staff and our dog was made more that welcome. Opened up a tab at the bar, and ordered our food, Both the starters and main courses arrived promptly and portions were very good. Really enjoyable meal, really enjoyable experience. Will definitely be visiting again...

Just had a family get together at this pub, and it was very nice. The food is lovely and the service was good, ( no going to the bar for refills, as waiter/ess service). They do a set menu of 2 courses for £11.95 or for an additional £2 you can have 3 courses. We chose this option as we... More
