The operations director of chef and brewer should hang his head in shame for allowing this once great pub (which up to last year was the most profitable in the business) to decline so much in the space of a year.It was never going to be easy to replace Derek however the attempt to allocate half the... read more

This pub used to be one of our favourite places, but we will not be visiting again. On our last visit the food we ordered was terrible, reheated / microwaveable slop with no taste and certainly not up to the standards we had come to expect of the place. Foreign lady serving behind the bar doesn't even crack a smile... More

What a shame! This place used to be so lovely, amazing food and really well run. We popped in this evening for a quick bite after work and ended up spending £50 on a two course meal for the two of us for really awfully presented and badly cooked food. The food looked like it had been thrown onto the... More

The drinks were overpriced - I resent paying £0.95 for a lime + soda! The food was very poor: soggy sweet potato fries (which I had paid extra for!); extremely thin + dry chicken burger (so thin you could barely see it); gourmet burger was overcooked, dried up, and tiny; fried egg was sitting in a puddle of grease; and... We used to visit this pub about 7 years ago many times and it was one of our favourite pubs. At that time, it had on display the food sourced from local farmers but now it seems as though some comes from Brake Brothers. The pub is situated in area that is mainly bungalows with a lot of elderly people... More

Friendly helpful staff even though the pub was very busy. The food was disappointing considering the fairly high prices.

Staff were so very helpful and polite and can't be faulted. While experience was great but we felt let down by the food. Presentation wasn't great. Real shame as we have always enjoyed the swan but our last couple of meals have been disappointing. Come on Swan - we want our fab local back.

I have visited The Swan many times and is one of my favourite pubs - usually very good. However had a steak there today and came with salad and onion rings that tasted like they had been sitting around for ages before being served. Overall very poor considering the meal cost nearly £20!

We have used this local pub ( part of Brewers chain) quite regularly over he last few months, we tend to go on Thursday's due to the specials available, Food usually good, but staff a bit hit & miss, you select a table and order from the bar, but you can get reservations and a table in the resturant section... Just left a lengthy review but did not save. Basically, don't eat here. Horrible burger, it smelled old, was dry and tiny. Just bloody horrible, won't go back
