Visited the Chinese tonight before the show at the Lowrey. Lovely restaurant and decor. Here goes....... Worst hot and sour soup I've ever had, crispy duck with pancakes, dreadful ! Lots of chicken tasted watery. Some dishes where ok. The staff where quite nice. Tried many a Chinese buffets but this was the worst and considering its in such a... More

Went here for my grandsons birthday, we were greeted nicely when we arrived, and was surprised how busy it was, the buffet food is the first I've been too, the choices of food was plentiful and tasty went back a few times , being replenished all the time so nothing run out, I was a bit unsure about the desserts... This place has just changed its name to The Real China and sign says under new management. Not eaten here for about 4 years when we walked out due to total staff indifference and poor quality food and farcical buffet selection. Great improvement this visit. Staff really tried to make an effort but they need to be better organised. Everyone... More

Not sure what to say here. A large restaurant opened aat Salford Quays (but closed 2012) due to lack of trade. Wierd as having worked in the area it was always full during the day. Excellent food and wide range of buffet choices. Spin off from the chinese restaurant of the same name in urmston... but for some reason the... More

Had a wonderful meal here. We were running a little late for a show and they rushed our food through. It still tasted sensational though! I can heartily recommend the lamb tagine and prawn and chorizo starter. Staff excellent, very friendly and welcoming. Would definitely come again.

Always a mistake in the order. A really bad chinese cuisine. Food is too greasy, more than you can imagine a deep fried to be!

Decided to try here before seeing a show at the Lowry. We were offered the Buffet or the A La Carte and as the Buffet food was due to be put out in 5 mins we decided to go for that. It wasn't the largest Buffet in the world but there was a choice of 3 soups then about 6... More

What an awful name for a restaurant for a start. "Pond quay" - enough to put you off without going in! I wish I had been put off, actually. I don't think I've ever had such downright awful service as here! The waiters barely speak English and are almost unintelligible. One clearly did not understand our orders which led to... More

Have eaten at this restaurant many times and keep coming back if at The Lowry. My only experience is at the lunchtime buffet [12 - 3pm] which now costs £7.50 - but beware of the cost of drinks, I keep to Tea or a free glass of water. The restaurant is quite large with over 50 tables. You are greeted... More

Very clean toilets says everything, clean toilets clean food!! Staff extremely polite. Dose not look like it is Chinese or Cantonese but the food is authentic, very nice!
