The service was impeccable with everything thought of. The food was delicious using local produce and very good value. The wine list and local variety of beers and ciders a real treat. We will certainly return!

Had a really enjoyable meal here on a recent Saturday evening. Friendly, prompt service with a pleasant atmosphere. There's a great choice of dishes on the menu and I can recommend the asparagus to start with, followed by lemon sole, then the banana split - divine! We all agreed the food was exceptional, freshly cooked with quality ingredients and the... More

Recently I have had two excellent weekday lunches. The menu is short but creative and the execution perfection. Wild garlic soup was without parallel and the Grilled Sea Bream is always a good choice for a light lunch. The puddings were imaginative and very enticing. A ginger beer in the well planted and kept garden is an peaceful way to... More

Decided to try out lunch at the Tudor Farmhouse on a sunny Monday with my wife. I went for the fixed menu £25 for three courses and coffee. My wife choose off the main menu. Plenty of choice from snacks to the full Monty. It turned out that her choices including coffee was also £25. Two orange juices, a bottle... More

I thoroughly enjoyed my meal at the Tudor Farmhouse restaurant - melt-in-the-mouth lamb for my main course followed by sticky toffee pudding. Lots of excellent flavours, well executed and presented. The 5* rating is for my meal - my boyfriend was a little disappointed with his scallops as the plate was cold and he felt they were on the underdone... More

We met friends for lunch, midweek. Not our first visit and we have generally been satisfied here. We thought the place had been given a bit of a lift, appearance wise. The dining room was very smart.Service from Meshell was friendly and efficient. Food was imaginative and surprisingly good based on previous experience when we felt it was nothing special, just... More

We were looking for a good pub for tea but kept being turned away and ended up here. Perhaps there is such a thing as fate! Very warm welcome, beautiful building, comfy seats, lots of extras thrown in, excellent service and really tasty food well worth the slightly higher price tag and the longer drive home!

We were taken to this restaurant in October by friends that live near St Briavels (local-ish) and had come across a flyer at a local food fair. They hadn't tried it before and the meal was a "thank you" for us having organised a super holiday abroad. There was nothing actually wrong with the food or indeed, the wine. Having... More

A birthday treat. Nice atmosphere, good service and excellent food, however I would suggest having two starters instead of a main! The main portions were equivalent in size to the starters, nice for ladies, not so good for hearty men! This makes it expensive as you would require three courses. Super wine list. Picturesque garden.

Dear Michelle H Happy Birthday! I'm delighted to hear you enjoyed your meal, as well as the surroundings and wines. The menu is definitely written to be eaten over three courses and you're right to point out the mains are not designed to be eaten on their own. The menu includes bread, an amuse bouche and petits fours with coffee... More
