Although quite small and only a few tables we were made welcome and only had to wait 5 mins or so and a table was found for us. Limited menu but good food and excellent service.

Visited the Great Western while staying at the Crown Hotel in Blockley with my wife. We both had an excellent meal with very friendly service, The pub has a good atmosphere and the food is well prepared and offers good value for money. The beer isn't bad either! Would highly recommend a visit.

Another great visit there was nothing on the lunch menus my 13 year old fancied but this was not a problem as the landlady asked her what sort of thing she would like and came up with just what she wanted fantastic. Have been going to the pub for the last 13 years and since Gail the landlady took it... More

we were the only booking on a Saturday night at 8pm but the restaurant area was full fairly basic pub grub with some interesting starters - well presented and reasonable value staff were friendly though a bit pushed to cope: we ate and enjoyed all that we had

Visited this pub rather than eating in the crown hotel, when we arrived we had our dog so asked where we could sit with her, we were offered a table in the eating area of the pub which was pleasant. The dog was given a bed to sit on and made a fuss of. Most of the main meals came... More

After reading some other reviews - I wonder if we experienced the food on a particularly bad night. However, as we had a small doggy with us we were obliged to eat in the bar next to the pool table. After ordering main courses at around 8:10pm the food eventually arrived at 9:15pm - it wasn't worth the wait. Very... More

We looked online an saw a fantastic menu and chose eating here over going to Morton on marsh however we turned up and the menu was completely different not even slightly similar to what we had seen. We had soup which was a bit bland but the steak was delicious and really enjoyed it. Small but comfortable and very easy... More

Small friendly pub serving up good wholesome food. Your typical pub grub cooked well and at reasonable prices, (price range £8-£13). The kitchen is very accommodating and will taylor most meals to suit. If you want chips with your chicken, it's on the menu, but if you prefer potatoes and veg then simply ask and it's provided. The fact that... More
