Hawksmoor it aint. Similar prices though. Poor service, £29 for a steak with sides starting at £2.50 for 9 chips and an expresso`s worth of sauce for £1.50.No desserts offered, and the ambiance ruined by the table of 10 members of the travelling comunity that are no doubt related to the new owner. Avoid.

We booked a table for 2 as it was my wifes birthday. There was a choice of 6 main courses, 2 of these were off of the menu -that was a good start. My wife had squid to start and I ordered the beef carpaccio. If I said we played spot the squid and spot the beef I am not... More

We have just returned from lunch at Parsons. It was terrible. We were in a party of 6. Four ordered the lamb & it was in edible - more fat than meat. The potatoes were hard and the vegetables almost non existent. The chicken & pork were just about OK - no better than OK. The service was poor -... More

After a mad few months it was nice to sit and relax - the staff were very welcoming and always had a smile for my Grandaughter when they went past the table (who may i add acted very grown up). The sandwiches were not the delicate ones i have had in other establishments but the bread was crusty and very... More

My Nana came down to visit from Newcastle and I booked Parsons for a little treat for her. We had a lovely afternoon the atmosphere was very relaxed and we were not rushed at all and allowed to eat our own pace. The food was fab I could not fault it at all, that sandwiches were made with fresh crusty... More

Visited for an early dinner on Saturday night. Greeted by a very friendly, pleasant member of staff. All waiting staff professional and discreet in their service. Food was very nice with lovely flavours, however it could have been served hotter. We enjoyed our evening and will be back, but wouldn't say it's going to be our new favourite restaurant.

Today I took my family of 7, out for lunch at Parsons Restaurant, 58 Sun Street, Waltham Abbey, Essex. I had never dined there before and only knew it as had formerly been "The Sun"an old coaching inn. I would never have known it. It is now a modern restaurant serving a la carte and fixed tariff meals. Pre booking... More
