Visited here for my partners birthday, atmosphere was great in both restaurant and the bar love the mis- matched furniture, gave it character. Food was superb, couldn't fault it at all. I had piri piri chicken which was so tasty. Only one waiter but you wouldn't know it he was v attentive, helpful and welcoming. Would highly recommend.

Been to The Mews a few times for drinks but tried Sunday lunch this time. Absolutely lovely roast dinner, loads of veg included and very reasonably priced for a nice place. Highly recommended. Matt

Visited The Mews again last night for my birthday meal, nearly 18 months since our last visit. The fact that it was very busy on a Tuesday night is an indication of how good the restaurant is. Superb meal including breast of pigeon and confit of duck - both excellent and well presented. Good selection of vegetables and crunchy roast... More

Came to 'The Mews' with family for dinner on a Wednesday evening. Fantastic atmosphere both in the bar and restuarant. Food was superb quality and quantity, the portions were huge! Able to cater for my gluten free requirements and had an excellent meal. Unable to try puddings as so stuffed! Will definately return

Went to the Mews on Sunday for lunch with my husband and 6 year old and can't believe that we had never eaten there before. Food was brilliant and excellent value for money as other restaurants were almost double the price that the Mews was offering. Service was excellent and staff seemed to actually enjoy their job. If I was... More

Visited The Mews last Sunday and had a fab roast beef lunch. Generous portions, good selection of vegetables, crispy roast potatoes, big Yorkshire pudding and even cauliflower cheese...mmmmmm. Despite being full, when I saw treacle sponge or was it golden syrup sponge, anyway, I had to have it. I was a bit disappointed as whilst it tasted fine, I expected... More

We visited The Mews for lunch today as we had read the good reviews. The decor is quirky, shabby chic with an emphasis on the shabby! There was only one member of staff serving as it was quiet and she was polite and helpful. The restaurant has a selection of local real ales available as well as all the usual... More

The menu is diverse yet original, more than enough choice to whet any appetite. Served by staff that have cultivated the skill of remaining attentive without becoming intrusive. The surroundings retain that disarming intimacy required by that special meal for two, whilst effortlessly accommodating the larger party. The descriptions on the menu are amply expressed by a chef who is... More
