Thought we would try out this cafe for a nice coffee that wasn't too mainstream. Walked past a Starbucks and Costa to get to it. After standing at the till for a few minutes we walked to the back of the restaurant to coax a member of staff to the front of house which was unmanned. We ordered 2 Latte's... More

Three of us went for lunch / brunch. All had egg dishes, by coincidence. Very good portions: smoked salmon, bacon, chorizo and halloumi, for example. Eggs poached nicely, nice runny yolks! Hollandaise sauce served cold, which personally I don't like, but otherwise good. Dessert was a cold nougat sweet, more like ice cream with nuts etc in it - lovely!... More

Was my first visit last night with family who have been many times before. Absolutely loved the 'Quirkiness' of the decor etc. Staff were lovely and the food was superb!! Loved it so much, 10 of us are going back for Mothers Day!! Great experience

Everything about Bacchus is special. The atmosphere is cozy and with memorabilia all around there is lots to see too! We have been here several times, the food always excellent. The staff always friendly. Price as expected for something if this quality.

The restaurant was recommended by a colleague so i booked a table and then read the reviews, after which i was confused. It seems you either love it or you hate it. For us it was the former. Its quirkiness makes for a great atmosphere and makes you feel as though you have enjoyed a unique experience rather than having... More

Have been coming here for a few years (so this review is way overdue). Found this lovely and quirky restaurant be accident as it's slightly off the main high street. The staff here are always friendly and helpful, always willing to accommodate. The food is always very good and tastes like they should charge more (thankfully they don't) Never feel... More

I love this place. It's not for everyone as quirky If you are miserable ultra fussy and critical and have no style - don't bother going there \ they don't need you. The chairs don't match it is like the inside of an antiques shop but that's what makes it great. ! Food and service has always been beautiful best... More

I visited Bacchus on Friday evening for a celebratory dinner with some friends, and we had a great time. We were a little bit worried about going back from the last couple of reviews we have read but, they didn't let us down as usual a great evening and experience A couple of our guests have a serious nut allergy...
