My wife, son and I took my parents for afternoon tea on sunday and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The premises is clean and decorated very tastefully and the tea, sandwiches and cakes were all delicious and in plentiful supply. The real topper thought was our waiter, Jonathon, who was very friendly and nothing was too much trouble for him, a... More

I booked to take my mum for afternoon tea, we were joined by my brother and sister, we arrived early and thought wow the restaurant is packed, we sat down for a matter of minutes before being shown to our table. The table was set lovely, we were asked immediately if we had any nut allergies or if we did... More

My husband and I took both of our mums to the Roslin for mother's day lunch and it was perfect from beginning to end. We were greeted in a lovely friendly manner and we all got a little rose plant each for being mums. Our table was lovely. Crisp white tablecloths and sparkling glasses etc. The menu was a set... ....the morning after our wedding. We arrived at breakfast and were ignored. So sat down at a table ourselves. A lady (possibly owner) was fussing over other guests but ignored us. We waited a while then my husband went to find someone to order some tea. This was brought over and we were asked if we would like toast. This... More

A surprise lunch for Mother's Day. Having never eaten at the Roslin before I was a bit dubious but after a warm welcome and being able to be seated at our table early all was going smoothly! Menu was a set menu but had a lot of choice to suit all tastes and still had roast dinner options which we... More

Yes, we have all be lured to the seafront again, for the view and perhaps a good meal whilst enjoying it. Guess again. View never fails, roslin beach does. I have been visiting this restaurant it seems since time began. 25 years to be precise. Long before the refurbishment and on going take over of the neighbouring properties and every... More

Went to this hotel as our intended destination was closed for the day...but what a find. The lovely sun terrace allowed us to enjoy the gorgeous weather. The food was fresh, with a good choice of light bites and full meals, all reasonably priced when taking in to account the views and location. The food was very nice and the... More

I have been to several different occasions at this venue and experienced the same experiences every time. All the starters came to the table at different times. Some people had finished and some had not started. The same with the mains and sweets. I politely asked for a coffe and the waitress angrily said, yes when I get a chance... More

Don't let me bore you with the journey or lack of car park spaces....let's review the meal (although I couldn't have a drink to unwind as I was the driver!) Kimmy described her beetroot and goats cheese salad as 'really lovely'. They had used a variety of Heritage beetroot and the plate was full of colour. My starter was described... More
