My wife visited the Roslin and collect a voucher for a friends birthday. I asked my wife if she fancied sitting down to dinner in the resturant. A table was found for us in an otherwise empty wonderful setting. Our drink order arrived and we placed food requirements with our waitress. Our waitress returned to attend to something behind us... A bit of an afternoon tea fiend, I've been to quite a number of places in plenty of locations but decided to try somewhere closer to home. Apprehensive at first i was pleasantly surprised. The food was lovely, fresh with a good choice. Reasonable price. They didn't charge me for my 4 year old which was lovely as she doesn't... More

100per cent to all the staff everyone we came into contact with were friendly and polite. Two of the hotel maids who did our room 117 on Tuesday were really professional well done girls had a great time and we will be back. Room was lovely but a fridge would be good for summer time.

Had a booking for 11 people to celebrate a special birthday. Table was lovely - in the window looking out over the estuary Food was fine - everyone seemed happy! Service is an issue. The waiting staff seemed totally disinterested - just standing near the table and saying 'Steak' and then just putting it down on the table in a... More

Had a real lovely lunch here, very relaxed and informal, the chef here must be very good, we had a very simple cheese sandwich and some picky bits and it was simply lovely, the views are fantastic too, service very professional

This is a great looking hotel with nice décor and good views across the Thames estuary, especially on a sunny day. The food was nice but rather expensive and we felt that the restaurant had been slightly greedy with the amount of tables and had done their best to cram in as many as possible and which gave the dinning... An excellent selection of cakes and sweets let down by dull sandwiches and tea. Service was a tad rude, but we were one of two large parties so I understand they were overworked. Lovely view over the sea.

I have visited the roslin on several occasions, though mostly good I have not had great experiences.Today I went for afternoon tea, I can only describe it as awful, the tea was Luke warm, scones and sandwiches were quite nice, the cakes we're to say the least disappointing.I am a rubbish cake maker and I could have made better. My husband had to go... More
