Description: Bella Italia hits the Essex coast with its Southend on Sea restaurant,...
Bella Italia hits the Essex coast with its Southend on Sea restaurant, found in the very centre of the town just opposite the Southend Victoria train station. Locals and visitors to this popular British seaside resort are invited to enjoy classic Italian food at good value prices at Bella Italia. There are a wide range of pizzas to choose from such as the Quattro Stagioni with pepperoni, ham, roasted mushrooms and artichokes and the pasta dishes features options like the spaghetti carbonara with pancetta, egg and pecorino cheese or the beef and pork meatballs in a rich tomato sauce served on a bed of spaghetti. Don't forget to save room for dessert; chocolate lovers will adore The Godfather (nutty chocolate fudge brownies, vanilla and toffee ice cream, chocolate sauce and fresh cream).

Overpriced for average food

Visited here with the family on a Saturday early evening. Restaurant quite quiet. Found male staff member quite rude (until he gave us the bill!) however the other female staff more than made up for it. Tables were squashed together but place appeared clean. Had great expectations for a great meal but found the service very shoddy My steak and other in the group wasn't cooked as we requested and although they changed it and said it would be 2 minutes people were waiting around when others on table had finished. No apology and no compensation Disappointed and will never return or recommend A... More

We visit here I guess 6+ times a year, sometimes just for a few drinks in the bar area. There never really seem to be enough staff on duty. We have waited longer than one would expect on several occasions when dining in. They always seem to be rushing around & you get the impression there are 4/5 people doing... More

Me and my family came here on a Saturday afternoon. Very busy day. Full restaurant but got a table without a problem. Sat down ordered drinks, at the table within minutes. Fast! Ordered food. 10 minutes and it's here. Couldn't believe how quick it was for a busy Saturday. Well done to the chefs for delicious food and well done... More

Ever sat in a restaurant, and wondered if your invisible?.. Over two hours for a three course meal is pretty ridiculous. There were bigger tables, which obviously demanded more attention, and a couple behind us that came in 30minutes after us, and left 30 minutes before we did, and also had 3 courses... We just felt forgotten and less worthy... More

Went for my birthday just before Christmas, what a disappointment, we have had nice meals here before but sadly this was not one of them. Dry tasteless chicken and my husbands Italian stew looked so unappetising he couldn't eat it. Won't be going back

Excellent food and service at Lunchtime. Nice atmosphere, not hurried. An ideal place to have lunch during a busy shopping trip.
