A unique steakhouse experience: At Miller & Carter we know a thing or two about steak. In fact, we could say that we're one of the best steakhouses in Essex. But we'd rather leave that to your judgement. Because once you've tasted our hand-cut, 28-day aged British steaks you'll soon appreciate the care of our farmers, the exacting standards of our butchers and the passion of our chefs. Don't just take our word for it; book a table and decide for yourself. You'll find us at the heart of Epping Forest, near Theydon Bois golf club and High Beech and within easy access of the M25 J26. The best of British beef: Our premium-graded British beef is reared on carefully selected, sustainable farms. So whichever your favourite cut, we can trace every forkful back to the field. Looking foward to seeing you there Chris and the Epping Team

Travelled 30 mins to get to this place after a friend recommended this restaurant. It's not so often that I eat steak, so we thought lets do this.... Looks great from the outside and warm in the inside. As we stepped in, front desk was prompt, although we got stuck with a waitress who looked miserable and faked a smile... More

We visited the Miller and Carter to welcome someone to our team in February. We knew the Miller and Carter was a reasonably priced restaurant with a good selection and great service. We all ordered from the £13.95 for two courses menu and were pleasantly surprised by the great selection. I had the chicken soul soup and my colleagues the... More

We popped-in here for lunch on a Friday as it was conveniently on the roundabout on our way home from Loughton. The atmosphere is of a plush modern pseudo-Victorian gastropub, with ample space and many options for seating: blanquettes and tables. The service was superb and we were never left to wave for a waitress!! We ordered drinks which arrived... More

I visited with a party of ten and our waitress, Charlie, was very accommodating. She was patient in taking our orders. Cocktails were at a reduced price up until 6pm which was good. I advise you to not get 'surf and turf' the fish section is a bit of a rip off, 3 small king prawns and a tablespoon of... More

This place seems to be very expensive although i was told by the people who arranged our evening meal that the steaks are very very nice. Anyway, on the plus side the Lunch Time menu is well worth the money, so get there in time to order it. Couldn't fault any of the food that we ate, and there were... More

Lovely food as always. Not the cheapest place to go but worth it. Like the non alcoholic cocktail list for kids.

We arrived at the restaurant around 5pm For a nice meal on the way to Gatwick airport. We order the platter for 4 people. The ribs were nice and so was the chicken but the nachos were soggy and quite tasteless. My mum and cousin who had been before said the ribs were tiny in comparison to what they had... More

Went for a family celebration, wasn't overly impressed. Service was really slow. The menu is over-priced for what you get. I could have had just as good a steak in a independent restaurant for half the money. The name increases the price without the increase in quality. Disappointed.

Been here a few times and have always been impressed by the food and service, the only gripe about it is they don't have a varied drinks list unless you like wine of course, not much else in the way of alcohol, but other than that food great atmosphere great , will certainly be going again .....
