Great fish & Chips, awful tea!

We went to Geos as usual and had the special which is excellent value for £7.10, cod & chips, bread & butter and tea or coffee. Everything was excellent except the tea, this is orange, stewed and cold. This would have been an excellent review except for this point.

We went in as a family party of 9, no trouble at all for them, staff very friendly, meals arrive quickly and were enjoyed by all. We have been there before and will definitely go back again.

We visited here recently and wish we hadn’t bothered. The surly waitress couldn’t manage a smile, plonked the food I front of us – there was only one other family in the restaurant so she was hardly run off her feet. The waitress didn’t ask if we were happy with the food – which I wasn’t. The batter on the... More

Getting towards the end of a full day beside the seaside, what else could we possibly want but a good old fish supper? So we checked on Tripadvisor, saw some great reviews and came to Geos, about 3 minutes walk from the pier - and it was EXACTLY what we were looking for. They were pretty full, but jiggled a... More

We had lunch here last week, cod and chips. Very good service, excellent food and good value. Well done. I thought it was just a take away, but there is a very nice restaurant at the back. It was a bit like stepping back in time to the old days of Joe Lyons....!

Probably the best fish and chips ever. We were told by local taxi driver Stephen B. He said it was the cheapest too. See you again on our next visit.
