The perfect place to unwind with a glass of something chilled and enjoy delicious, freshly cooked food with family and friends. Our food is cooked entirely from scratch using fresh, seasonal produce. We have selected a range of fine wines, beers and spirits to accompany our menu. When the weather is good, guests can dine on the terrace which is covered with huge umbrellas and super-efficient heaters...Ideal for those long lazy al fresco lunches! PS...Whilst bookings are not mandatory they are strongly recommended. Email reservations are not a definite booking unless we send you confirmation but we will try our very best to accommodate you.

Classy gastro pub

Although no longer a pub this always steps up to the mark in the quality of food served. I've only used it for the odd Sunday lunch and the menu is limited but something for all tastes. Good wine menu, the only down side is that one has to drive to get to it.

Our group of 8 visited last night. 2 had been before when it was just a pub, for the rest of us it was our 1st visit. On arrival the restaurant looks very inviting, the grounds are immaculate. Inside it's clean, well laid out and feels comfortable. Our table was ready for us and the waitresses were very smiley, friendly... More

We visited the Dog & Gun on Saturday 18/4. We were a bit late arriving but when we arrived the table was ready so a very friendly waitress showed us to our seats. We were given time to get settled and then our drinks order was taken. The menu was perused and it was a difficult choice as everything sounded... More

Visited today for lunch for my husband's 50th Birthday with 2 friends. Gorgeous weather, so sat outside. Served by a lovely friendly waitress with a superb sense of humour. Food was really really good with a separate menu for one of our party who required gluten free. Excellent choice, we had ham, duck eggs and chips and BBQ chicken, sweet... More

Revisiting for the first time in about 12 years. It has changed considerably and is now a very nice place to eat and drink. I went with 4 friends for a mid week meal and found the food amazing. We all Enjoyed our different meals and the desserts were also to die for. We often eat out and this is... More

We visited the restraunt on a Saturday evening, it was very busy, we wanted a drink at the bar first but were shown straight to our table, we ordered appitisers and starters which were served together, we had to request not to have our main course served for 20 minutes as the meal felt rushed, the staff were very busy... Have been here several times now for Sunday lunch and it has been really good value every time. Choice of roast dinner or normal food and the service is top class as well.

I was taken here for my birthday meal.. we had been past it a few times and the setting at night with the big glass windows and moody lighting caused us to check it out. We went on a Tuesday night and it was quiet... 3 couples including us plus a table of 6. The setting inside is comfortable and... More

Visited for a meal on a Thursday evening with a friend, Found the venue had been beautifully refurbished and was offering a great menu. Extremely quiet on a Thursday night - I think only 3 tables were taken but they're doing 20% off Monday-Thursday evenings (pre-booking required). I'm sure once people get to hear about the new Dog & Gun,... More

We've been here several times. Always had a lovely meal. The service is good. The pub is lovely. It has recently been refurbished. It's expensive so we generally go for special occasions. Currently there is a 20% food discount during the week until end March.
