Excellent semi retirement

A fantastic restaurant to meet up with colleagues, friends or family. The restaurant was booked for the MD who was taking semi retirement. The food and drink was excellent, also you really couldn't fault the service which was second to none. We would thoroughly recommend this restaurant.

On Sunday I had my first ever Sunday lunch there with my husband. It was the 12th anniversary of our first ever date and we fancied giving it a go. As usual Russell's didn't disappoint. The menu selection was excellent and our Sunday dinner (beef roast) was ruddy delicious. Every single component cooked to perfection. Loved the Bread and Butter... More

We had our Christmas lunch here. Everything was lovely from the table settings to the food, friendly staff and excellent service. A great atmosphere and very tasteful Christmas decorations.

Five of us visited last night and had a truly stunning meal with fantastic wine. Everything was delicious, but the Bread and Butter pudding was absolutely outstanding. The service was excellent too. We will return sooner rather than later!

This was our second visit in a month as it's only the 4th place EVER where my husband has actually enjoyed a good steak. Between 7 of us we covered much of the menu, everything was well cooked, delicious, high quality and served very hot. The staff are friendly and the service good. A particular plus point for us was... More

We were taken to this lovely restaurant for birthday meal. The food was beautifully presented and tasted delicious. I can recommend the white chocolate cheesecake for desert it was nice. The staff very helpful and polite. The decor most unusual with all the beams, it felt very relaxed and welcoming. We can recommend this place.

Set in an interesting historic building we went here for a mid week lunch as they offer a special lunch menu. I did not fancy the winter salad as it was 16 degrees outside - strange for November - so asked if I could swap it for an a la carte summer salad. Unfortunately no - unless I paid extra....not...
