Restaurant/cafe in delightful courtyard in Hylands Park, near the historic Hylands House stately home. Despite having everything going for it - location, menu, etc; the delightful Stables cafe is totally ruined by the miserable, hostile and quite unwelcoming staff. They are sitting on a potential goldmine but they cannot even be bothered to smile or be pleasant to customers. This is not just a single experience - we have encountered it time after time, as have others we have spoken to. The manager is probably the worst offender - and sets the tone for the rest of the team. Please - smile and be pleasant. You may even get to like it!

After a lovely walk on the grounds of Hylands park where else to go but the stables cafe. Very popular place to go with fantastic food and drink. Only problem is that it does get very busy in the summer!
