Popped in to Prezzo for a mid shopping lunch. We were enticed by the starter and main course for £9.95 deal which didn't have a lot of options but they were all good choices of pizza, pasta or chicken caeser salad. Service was good and we were seated quickly and drinks arrived a few minutes after. I had mozzarella balls... More

Myself & 2 friends were in Chelmsford in business. We fancied an Italian. Because of the dark front exterior and lack of any apparent life, we thought it was closed. Fortunately, a wander round the corner showed otherwise & we were treated to an excellent meal of pizzas which were nicely presented, to boot. Service & price both very good-... More

Traveled from St Albans to see a band perform at one of the local pubs. I have never been to Chelmsford Town City before and decided to arrive early. Everywhere looked busy and thought Prezzo would be a quality quick option. The restaurant had groups waiting however I was on my own. I waited 2 minutes and was seated beside... More

We ate here on Sunday, using Tescos tokens. We are more used to pub restaurants with sunday roasts but this was a real pleasant surprize.the service was superb, nothing too much trouble the drinks order correct and fast and the food delicious.bearing in mind all 6 of us had a different meal it was served hot and swiftly. The decor is classy the... Me and my husband ate here recently after a Saturday evening at the cinema. I have eaten here once before and the food was ok but this night the food was awful. My lasagne was sloppy and bland and my husbands pasta was flavourless. This may have been a one off but we will not be going back to find... More

Went last with some others, place is very nicely appointed, we had a drink first before sitting down to our meal. My starter was crab cakes which were bit disappointing as not tasty enough. But my main course was the VIP prawn and lobster pizza which was really good and very good, nice thin base which I like best (don't... More

For a mid week meal, Prezzo provides a good basic range of starters, grills, pasta and pizza. The crab cake starter with mayo was very good-two cakes with plenty of crab and the grilled chicken with rich calabrese sauce- tomato, pepper and chiili was substantial with a sauce which was full of flavour. The house sangiovese red was good value for... More

Had lunch here Saturday afternoon. Place was very busy and we had to wait fifteen minutes to be seated . Staff very helpful and friendly. Food really good and decor modern and clean. Drinks a little pricey but food good value. As with many modern places it needs a bit of sound proofing but this is down to the customers... More

A good meal, with pleasent atmosphere. Mixed meats for starter was OK, but perhaps a little mean. Mains were good and tasty, had a king prawn dish. Sweets were OK, but lacked imagination. A bit of sound proofing would help, a lot of background noise from the other diners.

Great food, great sevice...............BUT the noise level was something else!!! It became a competion to see who could talk (more like shout) the loudest to be heard above a couple of 'hen night' tables ..........ruined the whole experience :-( I've been to quieter Premier football grounds on a Saturday afternoon :-).............take a megaphone................or ear plugs :-)
