Thoroughly enjoyed a meal on Friday night. Food and service were both excellent. Really good value for money, I have had meals that were not as good and paid significantly more for them. Warm and comfortable venue on a bitterly cold winters night. I would definitely recommend this and will be back again soon.

Nice atmosphere but low quality food. We had the salmon with vegetables which was so salty that we couldn't taste any flavours or ingredients. The dessert on the other hand was far too sugary and again you didn't know weather you were eating just sugar or apple amaretto and cinnamon crumble. It was tasted sweet. Really enjoyed our evening here, family meal of 11, small and intimate restaurant, Attentive staff and good atmosphere, Main meals: I had the best seafood linguine it was amazing, others had fish and chips, game stew, duck, everybody really rated the meals, we will return as soon as possible!

We went with a group of eighteen friends to the Plough on Tuesday evening and had a great time. I had never been to the pub before but was told that it was very nice there and it didn't disappoint. The food, service and ambience were all excellent and will certainly be returning in the future. Well done The Plough.

Great food, well served . Staff efficient- nice surroundings . Only thing was the New Zealand Sauvignon very overpriced at £28.95 a bottle !

Our last night in the UK, and as we were staying with relatives, we asked them to chose a restaurant for dinner. We plonked for the Plough in Mountnessing (Brentwood) and weren't disappointed. We hosted a dinner for 30 people at the Plough for my 50th birthday.Thanks to the owner and his team we had a fantastic evening. I visited last night this restaurant.it was superb food and service. They deserve no:1 in this area. Very good food and friendly service. I highly recommend this restaurant .

I visited this restaurant for business porpuse. it was lovely food and service. I will return with my family. nice red wine (malbec ) lovely .it was nice easy parking I would like recommend this restaurant family owned restaurant. thank you for lovely food and service.
