Description: With such a wide range of offerings in Brentwood, finding an Indian restaurant that has just the right mix of atmosphere and hospitality, along with authentic taste and quality spices and ingredients, is not as easy as one might expect. We hope that once you arrive at Chutney Joe, you will feel it was well worth the journey Initially this restaurant was designed by Blink Interiors of London in 2005 to give a very stylish and contemporary feel in the dining area and a fusion of old, modern and sophisticated with ethnic & cultural hints throughout. With our wealth of experience, you can be sure that Chutney Joe will be a firm favourite for those who enjoy exceptional cuisine for many years to come. Our events team have successfully entertained many top corporate events, for companies such as Deutsche Bank, Channel Four, Metro, The Guardian, The Body Shop, The Rookery Hotel EC1 etc. We have also hosted many 'A' List celebrity parties. We have many years of experience in providing catering to standards of excellence. We believe you will enjoy what we have to offer in this area, as well as our food. Our cuisine is a combination of subtle tastes, fragrant and exotic spices imported from India and are delicately blended to create the original distinctive flavour and aroma.

We visited this place last night and was very disappointed, how the hell it has won awards I do not know!! The place was absolutely freezing, if you end up anywhere near the door, god help you if you haven't got a coat to put on. I had my coat on most of the time. Upstairs going to the loo... More

This used to be our favourite local Indian restaurant but no longer. I visited today with friends from my Cricket Club and we were overcharged by £220. The waiter, who checked the bill before it was handed over, embarrassed my party by loudly checking the total with a calculator at our table, before confirming that the total should have been... I've been to Chutney Joes several times since it opened. Unfortunately it's been going down hill and the last visit was terrible. The staff are not as friendly as they used to be, the attention to detail in the food presentation has also slipped. Last time, our onion bhajis were cold, as if they had just come out of the... We could hardly read the menu as it was very dark inside, and the lighting dull, also the tables are a bit on the small side and you feel cramped in. The interior is looking tired and could do with a revamp, but the food was not the best, but not bad.

This is probably the best curry house in Brentwood. The food is good and seems very fresh; not too heavy and you can actually see what vegetables are in the dish. Inside and out looking a bit tired and premises could do with a make over however.

I don't normally mank about food, but having travelled to many parts of the world tasting curries from the majority of them, I have to say this has got to be one of the worst, my wife's Korma tasted of chicken being warmed up in condensed milk and my Vinders was more of a tinned mild curry, to really take... Went here with 15 work colleagues for lunch & the staff were very well prepared. Pre ordered the food before hand which made the whole dining experience much more pleasurable, sat down with drinks and food began to arrive within 15 minutes. All fresh out of the oven and enjoyed by all. We will be returning to see how the... More
