The Barking Dog is a mess of a pub, I had a quick pint in there for old times sake, the other day. We used to occasionally visit on curry nights etc, but nowadays it's a load of oiks looking for a cheap way to get off there heads.

Barking and good times isn't words i'd normally put together but this pub really is a diamond in the rough. The bar staff are friendly enough to offer good service but also trained enough to offer a good experience. Can't fault the place for value and them experienced staff are hands on in offering the best beer in town, credit... More

I visited this pub with a few friends on a Tuesday evening. Having been to many whetherspoon pubs, I have to say that this had to be the friendliest whetherspoons so far. There was a decent number of staff working which is very unusual for this chain of pubs and we didn't have to wait ages to be served. The... More

My office decided to come here for christmas dinner. On entry, the smell of stale smoke from years gone by still lingers. The clientele were typical for a local Weatherspoons during the daytime. I refused to try their christmas dinner and went for the sirloin steak. It was not nice at all, dry and tasteless and the chips were horrible.... More

A decent Wetherspoons pub next door to Barking station. Roomy, with plenty of seating and offering a good range of standard chain pub food. Often has some decent ales on tap as well. Definitely a cut above your average grotty Barking establishment. Probably best avoided on a West Ham match day, more from the point of being packed rather than... More

I went there last Sunday lunchtime. It was my first time in this particular Wertherspoon's (a large UK chain of bars/restaurants). I hadn't come in before because the building looks so grotty from the outside ... it's in a space formally occupied by a local supermarket, and the building's exterior really does need a facelift. However, once you're inside, the... More

This review may be a little unusual but I had occasion to meet a friend from Holland and two of his friends from Germany. They had all come over to watch a football match at nearby West Ham FC (yes, we are all supporters) and we all had a hearty breakfast which was hot, fresh and tasty, washed down with... More

Went here thinking, it's Wetherspoons so you know pretty much what you're going to get. Not the case! In one visit we encountered rude staff, very poor customer service, and although the food itself was fine it wasn't what we ordered and the ordeal to get some cutlery to eat with was far more difficult that it should have been....
