My parents have lived in Bexhill for over 25 years and have seen all the various changes of Owners and Managers over the years, good and indifferent and have been very loyal patrons to the pub. My family have enjoyed some very memorable occasions and family events at the pub. We visited the pub with my parents recently for what... More

You forgot to mention the Bingo on a Monday night. The quiet meeting which is utilised by a number of organisation to meet up. Or the very successful Open Mic nights and live music. More importantly the great quiz nights were the local community get together and raise money for great causes. I am surprised that your parents didn't mention... More

My family booked for the Sunday Carvery for my birthday. The welcome was lovely, the food was hot and fresh and we were well looked after. The puddings were great and the prices were very reasonable. We paid £9.95 for two courses. Well worth a visit.

If you are looking for a nice place to hold a family and friends getting together after a funeral, you can do no better than The Wheatsheaf.Car parking is available and there is a lovely garden to sit in. A room is available to hire at a very reasonable cost, and Helen and her team really go that extra mile... More

Having recently moved to Little Common we thought we would overlook the appalling external decoration of the Wheatsheaf and the negative comments we had heard from friends and give it a try for dinner. Unfortunately inside is worse than outside, bright lights and a nasty tasteless cheap decor. £10.20 for 2 glasses of warm white wine also confirmed we had... More

My, with so much going on in this review, I don't think I could respond withe credit it requires within the confines of this review site. So I am extending an open invitation to join me with a glass of Pinot Grigio and discuss further. We are always interested in hearing how we can improve customer experience and perception. With... A great location - terrible new paint job, (is this a listed building?) why not just freshen up the white which was much more appropriate for a village setting - 2 or 3 customers in the bar - managed to get a drink after waiting about 3 minutes. No snacks available, lounge area like a tired front room no atmosphere!... More

Had family Sunday lunch here last weekend as my parents live in Little Common. Haven't eaten here for more than 10 years and was pleasantly surprised. Good quality meat and great vegetables - more expensive than the carvery chain places but well worth it. A bit disorganised at the beginning but very friendly, looks like a family run pub. Will... Thank you for trying beyond the call of duty to get us a taxi last night. We got safely back to our campsite with a lovely lady in a disco bus:-). Your hospitality was very appreciated and we loved you comfy sofas to watch the football on.

Having recently moved to Little Common, and being such a lovely bank holiday. I thought I would try out the local village pub, having seen all the signs at the roundabout. Arrived to find it closed and not reopening until Tuesday. Enough said, I will not be going back! Once close, always closed! Bob

I was just browsing on trip advisor and looking at local pubs and restaurants which I attend occassionally and dont always write a review for, however after reading some reviews about Wheatsheaf, I thought I would add my bit. I drive back and forth from London to Bexhill on a regular basis and everytime I get to that roundabout in... More
