Ok here's my review after being offered a replacement free meal by manager after an awful meal a few weeks ago. If u want dry tough meat, earthy dry roast potatoes, veg from freezer including Yorkshires, stuffing you could bounce off the wall and to top it all off cold food :( this is the place to be. Still can't... More

We took my 85 year old Mum here for her pre birthday meal and to celebrate Christmas. To be honest I am not a fan of Crown Carveries as my husband and I have had a bad experience on a few occasions at our local Crown Carvery pub near to where we live in Telford. My Mum loves this pub... More

Came here on 19th with work colleagues for a Christmas get together. On arrival there's a large free car park to the side and rear of the building. You can phone and reserve a table for special occasions or parties. Free Wifi (ask for the code) Cash machine on site (charges £1.75 for withdrawals) We had a warm welcome by... More

The place needs a real good clean, it's absolutely filthy. The toilets were disgusting and looked like they hadn't been cleaned in a week. The place seriously needs updating. As for the food, we were one of the first ones there after being told it gets busy and that there's usually a queue at the door (which was very optimistic,... More

I took a Portuguese friend here for lunch. He couldn't believe it. Families and many older people with their plates piled high to overflowing with food, and going back for more... The food was actually rather good but tables and floor not very clean I guess because a lot of the people that eat here don't know what table manners... More

We stopped here for the carvery en route to Bexhill. Pro's are cheap, friendly staff and ample free parking but let down by the lack of cleanliness. Furniture was old and tatty,my blouse was caught from a splinter off the table. The plates were stained which was off putting and old food was left on the table. I also saw quite... More

Went today for breakfast, having seen it advertised. If we weren't all hungry and it being on route to where we were going we would not have stayed. Firstly I had to ask for a clean cup twice as the cups that were being used were dirty/stained. When I asked for sweetener and spoons for our hot drinks I was... More

Bottom line first - the food and drink is really cheap. If it wasn't, you'd be hard pushed to recommend the King's Arms as a place to eat. As it is, it offers a reasonable occasional alternative to home cooking if you're in a hurry or just passing through. The service is fine, but unremarkable. We ate there at the... More

Taken there by friends on Saturday evening. I still can't believe how good the food was and the price was simply amazing. I had roast beef, gammon, and all the trimmings for just over £4!!! My wife had fish and chips - the taste was great! How do they do it? The meat was tender and tasty too. It was very... More
