The waitresses were fantastic but the food was to say at best worse than Wetherspoons. The chicken & leek pie ..Well done for the worst pie ever !Watery sauce and a pastry a child would be disappointed with. Chips frozen fried rubbish. The Halloumi starter was a rip off Two tiny pieces Avoid ! Avoid ! Avoid

We visited Battle last weekend on a whim and had to eat out as our hotel didn't have a bar or restaurant. Well, what a GREAT little find this pub was. I had a delicious meatball pasta bake which was IMMENSE and my fiance had steak and chips... We both really enjoyed our meals and we then spent another couple... More

I had a friend recommend to me the Bull Burger, so I went with a group of friends to see what was so great. The pub interior is lovely, traditional, rustic yet clean and comfortable. To us it was like a pub should be. Staff couldn't have been more helpful and polite. Every one of us from our group of... More

We have no complaints about our first visit, dover sole was served with an excellent selection of perfectly cooked veg and the lamb and apricot tagine with couscous was well spiced and tender. A slight difficulty with the timing of arrival of the main dishes was rewarded by a large glass of wine on the house, so no complaints there!... More

Amazing staff and fantastic service couldn’t have been more helpful. They had a great deal running on steaks which was fantastic value for money, the chef was on hand to advise on the various cuts and could even tell us which farm the meat came from. Would definitely recommend don’t miss out stop here to eat or stay it’s a... More

Very pleasant staff, great looking menu and special board. But unfortunately this is where it stops. we ordered grilled halloumi to start...two miniscule pieces with some salad. Mains: The Bull Burger.... tasteless , huge burger with large bits of unidentified herbs and raw onion, raw chips and two raw onion rings. Meatball Pasta... made with bull burger but smaller bits... First off the good: Pub interior was nice, clean and had a rustic charm to it. The staff was friendly and helpful and there was a good selection of drinks and food items on offer. Unfortunately this is where it ends. Three meals were ordered, one turkey roast, one beef roast and one fish and chip meal. The fish and... More
