Sunday Lunch

Staff decorated table for the anniversary dinner, very polite staff and helpful. Food was good typical Sunday dinner, beef, pork, chicken, good selection of vegetables and well cooked. Great food, lovely service and good beer... Nice setting and a pub I would love in my village...I had a lovely chicken and leek pie. Very flavoursome, with a light fluffy pastry, served with tasty sauté potatoes and a side of vegetables, all followed by a lovely dessert of strawberries and cream on a crispy tuile basket... Plus a lovely... More

Went for lunch after reading reviews on tp and well it was worth it. The food was great and nothing was too much trouble for the staff who were very helpfull. I will be going back again some time soon.

Yet another wonderful meal at the Windmill, I'm getting a bit boring now, I only ever want a steak here, unbeatable anywhere else in the area. What more can I say. Keep it up Windmill guys.

I booked this restaurant/pub to have a luncheon to celebrate my brother's 60th Birthday for Sunday 12th April 2015 for 15 members of our family. What a lovely surprise when we got there! They had put all 60th Birthday table top confetti wording in coloured foils on the table and a 60th Birthday banner on the wall near the table.... More

This has been a family spot for years, it is perfect for Sunday lunch. The food is absolutely delicious and so great in terms of value. Dessert is a must. It is family run, and this is obvious given the warmth and excellence of the service.

The main restaurant was fully booked so we had to eat in the bar area. Staff very friendly and helpful. Food of good standard. Beware the battered plaice is huge, the chicken goujons as a starter are a huge portion but well cooked, the chicken and leek soup tasty but tasted a bit glutinous - ? too much corn flour.
