We are regulars at the Crown and are proud to call it our local. The food is ALWAYS top-notch.The atmosphere is good, background music, not too loud. The landlord is always pleasant and welcoming. We are allowed to take the dog which is a bonus and in the winter there's a fire, which adds to the cosy factor. The food is good value, always well presented, hot and tasty.Have... Got a table for2 at the last minute on a Saturday night.. A very good meal...nothing fancy, just a very good steak. Lots of locals there, including families. Friendly service, would go back if we were in the area again.

We went out for a drive this evening and called in at this lovely friendly pub for a drink and a meal, the Landlord was very welcoming, there was a specials board and a menu to choose from, I had the Lasagne with salad & chips...Fantastic! My husband had the Sausage Mash & Veg which also scored a high mark... More

After a fairly lengthy wait for our food (the restaurant was fairly full) the food was, at best, mediocre but unfortunately also cold upon receiving it. The landlady was hostile and rude when we complained about the standard of the food. We certainly will not be eating there again, a waste of money and an afternoon. Disappointing food and terrible... Had our evening meal here tonight as we are staying in the village on holiday. Nice little pub, very clean, fresh flowers on the tables and a warm welcome from the Landlord. Nice to see that well-behaved dogs are allowed in to the pub - far too much PC nonsense about these days over such things. Had Thai prawns in... More

Go and try this pub if you are in the area. The owners could not have been more friendly or helpful. On our first visit to the pub we were made to feel so welcome and the food we had was really nice. Its so nice to visit a pub and get some tradional well made food. We were in... More

Having read the reviews I was somewhat nervous at what this would be like and yes, people did stare when we walked in but it was with interest as most of us do when someone walks into a room. The staff and clients all seemed friendly. Food was ok. Huge portions and normal style pub food - homemade pastry was... More

Having read some of the reviews it was with in-trepidation that I dined here for the first time last night. The menu was very limited choice wise, but the food served was no better/worse than from anywhere else that serves "pub grub" As a chef I found the presentation was poor but no complaints about the food itself. The landlord... More

Me and my colleague were the only ones lunching in the Crown Northwold today and that should have warned us ! Just popped in for a pint and a baguette. My colleague had a Bacon, Lettuce and. Tomato baguette and the bacon reeked of fish !! It had obviously been with or cooked with fish. Staff were completely uninterested when... More
