Came here after reading the website and expecting accomplished food. Very disappointed by all accounts. Parsnip soup starter as thick as custard to start and then their famous 'steak' burger for main. I was not asked how I would like it cooked and when it arrived it was extremely dry. I had to request a salsa to eat with it.... More

I can recommend a brisk walk on the coast path from wellsnextthesea to moreston. A perfect way to walk up an appetite for lunch. Half a pint of mulled cider and a couple of pints of woodfordes Christmas ale and suckling pig for two. Not to be missed. Mega

Yet another superb meal in a glorious pub on the beautiful North Norfolk coast. Welcoming staff, great atmosphere, friendly locals, top quality produce expertly delivered by this highly accomplished chef and team. A real gem!

We are staying in Morston, and decided to book for Sunday lunch at The Anchor a few short steps outside the front door of our home from home. There were five of us, so between us we tried a number of their dishes. Our starters were well done and very tasty (lovely scallops and good Scotch quails eggs) the mains... More

Came for lunch to celebrate my birthday on the recommendation of friends. Last came about 3 years ago and it was awful. Our lunch was just about perfect. Friendly, smiling waitresses, very good service but above all, the food was delicious. I had sea bass with squid, chick peas and chorizo, perfectly cooked. The portion size was good too. I... More

Was recommended by the owner of the B&B we were staying at, he advised to phone to make sure they could accommodate us, but due to lack of cell phone coverage we decided to just drive there and hope for the best. Service was extremely friendly and helpful. My wife is celiac and they checked with the kitchen for everything... More

I stopped by for a light meal and was impressed by the range of special dishes with a heavy seafood presence. In fact I went for soup which may sound dull but it was fabulous - full of flavour and depth. You know when there's a real chef running the kitchen. Other people's food looked great too and there was... More

Very busy over a long lunch service but the standard of service never dropped. The food was excellent, with generous portions and well presented. The Anchor has a very good reputation locally, mand quite right too.

What a lovely lunch!!!! Staff friendly and very accommodating, nothing too much trouble. Food, as always, was amazing! More wines by the glass than most, which is great. Dogs very welcome, and seal trips a couple of doors up, but you can book in the pub...... Will be back soon
