The Anchor Inn

Lovely walk from Blakeney around to Morston. Good portions of fish and chips and steak. Thankfully the walk back which was about 45 minutes helped with getting the pounds off. Good value

It was refreshing to be offered a vegetarian meal which was not a risotto, which for some reason seems to be the standard veggie offering in this part of the world. It was a really good meal too. The real ales looked good as well but unfortunately I was driving! Highly recommended, as it was by the owners of our... More

We visited 3 times in quick succession, the first time was a chance visit and the next two just confirmed how good The Anchor now is. We booked tables in the bar area, a friendly greeting each time we arrived and very good service throughout. The food was great with as much thought going into the accompanying vegetables as the... Although we have stayed in Morston a couple of times before we had never eaten at The Anchor so on Bank Holiday Sunday we decided to give it a try. I had pre-booked a table for the evening which was a good job as it was very busy. We were shown to our table straight away and a carafe of... More

It's time I reviewed this place as we've been quite a few times. Every time we've been, it's been fantastic. The atmosphere, the food and wines. The decor is lovely as is the staff. We are allowed to bring our dog in and she is welcomed by all. They even have dog biscuits by the front door. I would highly... More

We chose the restaurant based on a recommendation of our hotel. The sign outside said "Whole crab now available". The only dinner option with crab was a dressed crab salad. This dish was offered in all the North Norfolk restaurants we visited. Please get a bit more creative with your menu, especially at the prices charged. It would be great... More

I ordered ribeye steak which was too fatty and chewy. My wife had local crab salad which was boring, tasteless and bland. The worse part was when a fellow diner started to use an E cigarette and when I asked the waitress what the policy was on E cigs she said they did not have one. When paying the bill... More

We called in on a busy Sunday lunchtime. We were greeted immediately and we took a seat near to the bar as we just wanted a drink. Seeing the great looking food go by we decided to have a sandwich each. No problem. Menus were brought, orders taken and really tasty sandwiches arrived. Yum. The main menu looked to be... More

Called in for lunch, very busy but we were found a table, menu looked good and the food was excellent. Staff were all very good and the atmosphere great.
