Good food, warm welcome and great beers

Booked for New Years Day dinner and liked it so much we came back the following evening as well! A wide menu parts of which change daily containing a good range of locally produced fish and meat dishes. Service was good and Staff were very attentive and helpful. This was fine for just dropping in for a drink, and the staff were very friendly. But the banter behind the bar and level of music was a bit intrusive.

Amateurish, poor food, surreal service, dog continually pacing the restaurant. Food over salted and not as described

Very good fish and chips. Even the posh fish fingers were scrumptious. Service was polite and accommodating.

We had a great sandwich here. The pub is in the centre of Cley, which is one of the most attractive villages along the North Norfolk coast. It is a magnet for birdwatchers. On a nice day you can sit in the small garden on the other side of the road.

We stayed at Cley Windmill, but called into The George for a drink. It is clean and spacious and dog friendly!
