Had a lovely stop at the Folly where my friend and I munched through cake, scones and a couple of pots of tea. The tearoom is beautiful, the food great and our waitress Francesca very friendly. I also thought the prices were very reasonable. Would definitely recommend!

I must start by saying I am not a sandwich and cake fan, but after tasting the Folly afternoon tea I am definitely a convert! The sandwiches were daintily cut with squishy soft bread and delicious fillings. The cakes were each a pleasure, a light mini victoria sandwich, a rich chunky brownie, a fresh fruit tart, a coffee sensation, lightly... More

A really lovely experience. Could have not asked for a nicer afternoon tea. It was served with pink fizz, the sun shone and due to the setting of this lovely place all the troubles of the world seem a million miles away. The vintage china is sweet, and makes your tea taste just at little bit better! Food is served... More

We are regular customers and follys never failed to impress and satisfy in all aspects. Yes somehow there seems to have a few delays but if you go to folly's you don't want to leave anyway, you'd hold on to your table as long as you can. Whyyyyy? The whole place is so sweet, so serene, very relaxing and calming.... More

We decided to visit the Folly Tea Room as recommended by one of our friends for the set afternoon tea, But the service was very slow and the sandwiches were disappointing, my wife was looking forward to the smoked salmon sandwiches but was disappointed with the salmon which appeared to have come from a tin. The scones were ok a... More

Booked for lunch with friends as we'd heard great things about the food and decor. It's beautifully done, completely over the top vintage, which I absolutely love. We had reserved a table in the garden, which is just stunning. I would agree with previous comment that it's slightly awkward when the waitress brings over the board and hovers. Perhaps a... More

A friend recommended this little gem to us. What a find the most beautiful little tea shop we have ever visited. Lovely decor, scrumptious food and very friendly staff. A real 'must visit' in Holt. The garden is especially pretty

We sat outside and enjoyed a pot of tea and a posh pop (ginger and chilli). What a treat to be able to sit in such a beautiful garden in the middle of a bustling town. I would like to return to sample afternoon tea preferably with a glass of fizz.

A real hidden gem, beautiful walled garden, excellent service, fantastic selection of cakes, proper tea in a proper teapot with strainer! There aren't enough superlatives to express what a find this tearoom is. We spent a glorious hour in the garden enjoying our scones, cake and tea. A definite to visit when in Holt. Will be going again very soon... More
