When in Holt I love to pop into Folly for lunch or tea. They make great soup, all served with fresh cheese scones. Yum. The cakes also are a treat. All is served on pretty crockery. All together there is a very special olde-worldly atmosphere connected to this tearoom. While not cheap, it makes for a nice treat.

Have to agree that although this tearoom is very pretty and food nicely presented the tables are a bit squashed in and there's not enough space for everything on the tables. Service was slow and unfriendly, we had to ask for essential items. Scones were nice and fresh but good service is everything!

Dropped in for a pot of tea early on a Friday morning and succumbed to a cheese scone as well... Not sure genteel Oolong was the best choice of tea, but heck... It was just good to see it, along with some other lovely, well-chosen teas! Scones were completely divine - one of those tea room staples that can be... More

I went into Folly's for afternoon tea today with a group of friends for my friends birthday. We booked in advance however apon arrival they seemed to have forgotten about our booking. When we were seated from then on the service was poor, the lady was abrupt and rude and it felt like we were in the way, as it... More

I just adored this place. Perfect charming and quirky tea rooms. Lovely, friendly staff. Interesting and varied selection of teas. Great quality coffee and stellar cakes! Can't wait to go back to Holt and will certainly be visiting Follys again.

We arrived to a full tearoom expecting to be turned away but the young lady told us she would take our mobile and ring when a table was free in about 15 minutes. We returned to a table and a warm welcome. What a marvelous place well run good food and a memorable experience. Thank you

Decided to visit again, this time for lunch, which we pre-booked, knowing how popular The Folly is. First class service by very pleasant waitress and most enjoyable lunch in such very pretty surroundings. Thank you. However, would suggest re-think for use of Blackboard listing lunch menu. Not really suitable - or safe - in such a small area........being shuffled about... More

There are many 'Boutique Tea Rooms' appearing in North Norfolk of late but the Folly, with all its quirkiness, is still up there at the top. A lot of thought has obviously gone into the interior design which is charming and really does have that bit of magic, the garden also has had a great deal of input from someone... More
