Overall....Excellent!

First time visiting the Wheatsheaf Inn, what can I say. Manageress and partner so welcoming and very attentive to all, food and service was fantastic. Local people within extremely friendly, such a lovely atmosphere. Looking forward to going back!

A friend and I have visited the Wheatsheaf regularly over the last two or three years. In that time it has improved massively. New owners and a friendly staff - in addition to a widely varied menu - make this a place to return to. Our waitress, Anna, was simply a delight. Nothing was too much trouble even though she... Just had a meal here with friends and it was the best meal I've had in ages, absolutely gorgeous and reasonably priced! And the staff were lovely! Looking forward to going back again soon :-)

First time here, ordered steak was brought out over cooked. Complained and response wasn't really apologetic at all, kind of that's how it is so eat it or leave. Some drinks are quite overpriced for what you get, slow service. Although good cider. Won't be returning. Different places to go with cheaper but with higher standard food!!

Returned the cheese board as £8.00 for four slivers of apple and four crackers with cheese not acceptable at all. Despite that still charged for... More

It really is quite obvious that the last 3 or 4 bad reviews have come from the same person. You could at least try to change your complaints around a bit instead of the same stories and bad spelling. Really bad case of sour grapes you've got there! I have been to this pub, staff are great and food is... More
