Eat in this restaurant on the recommendation of a traveller on the plane. Did not book and were initially told that it was full. However manager found us a table and we had an excellent 2 course meal. Bearing in mind location price very reasonable and if we are in the area again we would certainly eat agin in the... More

it was the bar/restaurant next to our hotel and it was really a super comfortable place to hang out! Nice food and service for a good price We loved the pizza's which were always too much for us and we would take some pieces with us for lunch the next day And we also loved the slowcooked meals! Amazing flavours!

We booked this one as it was recommended in the reviews on TripAdvisor and we agree, a booking is certainly necessary, at this time of year at least. We certainly weren't disappointed Kroa. The service was amazing, the waitress took very good care of us and the food came out quickly. The food was delicious and generous and the atmosphere... More

This is one of the hot locations in town so you need to book if you want to be assured of a seat. First sitting means that you will need to vacate for the next diners after approx 1.5 hours and the bar is not large so if there are a group of you then book the second sitting (?2130... More

I was invited to dine at Kroa and as it is quite popular, the reservation needed to be made. The service was good, I liked the atmosphere,it is innovative. The main course was a catch of the day. It was marvelous. Fish was great and the vegetables too. I had a chocolate cake after and it was as it should be....chocolaty....:-).... More

Of course you don't have lot to choose in Svalbard....but this one is a good choice. SERVICE: No luxury. Not to much etiquette. Simple and professional service. "Norwegian" sympathy. FOOD: Splendid flavor. Good quality products in the confection. Good Presentation. ATMOSPHERE: Quiet at lunch, in October. Kind of cozy, not excessively warm. The memory and the feeling i brought with... More

Kroa/Steakers Svalbard is a nice pub/restaurant which offers both lighter pub food as well as multi-course dinners, all conducted in a great way. Quality ingredients, warm and cosy atmosphere, a wide range of beers and good service characterizes the eatery. We had a nice dinner time the National Day evening. A popular spot among locals and visitors!

It turned out that all the dishes on the menu had milk in them, so I asked for an alternative without gravy or mashed potatoes. But this restaurant chose to serve salty dried fish with a few vegetables and baked potatoes in rock salt - and the price was super high. As a customer, I was left feeling VERY thirsty,... More

It's a pretty place with a cozy atmosphere. Had the catch of the day, which was duck, as well as the filet of beef. Both were quite good.
