Description: CRETAN DIET- Recipes for Living The excellent health and longevity of...
CRETAN DIET- Recipes for Living The excellent health and longevity of Cretans is attributed to their traditional diet. Crete is famous for its rich agricultural production and excellent quality of its products. Local preparations, home dishes and wines have built a name for Crete, while the descriptive term "Cretan Diet" has been the standard for the Mediterranean Diet. MEDITERRANEAN CUISINE The word "Gastronomy" was born in Greece. It grew up in France - Italy until Spain also adopted it. In a few time it was worshiped worldwide. Kymata Restaurant follows the trends of gastronomy & present you the "Sous-Vide" cooking method! SUSHI - The Bridge over the waves of taste Sushi is based on the fresh daily obtained seafood from the Cretan high sea's. It is Highly nutritional & contributes to longevity. The combination of Japanese-Mediterranean cuisine is a suggestion that will surely gain your enthusiasm. VINOTHEQUE The best Greek wines to accompany your meals. Wine is part of the Cretan culture. The traditional way of living on the island pairs wine with lunch or dinner. This association has roots in antiquity, when a chunk of bread dipped in a cup of red wine was considered excellent breakfast. Cretans never drink alone. Wine is an occasion for companionship and socializing. Cretans drink within a group of people who share a meal, talk and have fun - this is because the Cretan diet is a way of life. Modern wine industries on Crete have exploited traditional grape varieties, past experience and the accumulated knowledge on viticulture and wine making. At Kymata Restaurant you will come across to rare Greek wines, that you will be able to purchase as a present or for your own pleasure at home. ATMOSPHERE - MUSIC A dinner over the sea under the moonlight is surely a unique experience and along with a finely selected music ,it will make it memorable. VALUE FOR MONEY There is no economical - expensive meal: we highly respect your money ,therefore we grant you V for M.

This was our second visit to hersonissos this year & our third visit to Kymata. The restaurant is beautiful, the staff are exceptional & always give superb customer service especially Alex. We have tried lots of different dishes, all of them great, but the sushi & the prawns in champagne sauce were simply amazing. I can't fault this place ❤❤

Me and my family came here and thoroughly enjoyed our food. I had the calamari to start which was a large portion but honestly the best calamari I've ever tasted!! Ended up quite pricey but was a lovely meal 😊

...... and we still have a week to go. Stunning food and presentation, certainly not cheap but quality costs. Everything about the restaurant exudes class, all of the staff were very polite even down to the guy who works the street to entice you in. They all have to do it as the choice is so great but the touch... More

Lovely restaurant in a lovely situation. Bread & fresh dips to start. Amuse Boucher of spinach and cheese pie. Main of seafood platter for 2. Consisted of sea bass in oyster and chilli sauce, salmon in herb sauce and prawns in sweet chilli sauce, served with steamed vegetables and rice. Lovely dish indeed, and would recommend to anyone. The service was in top, and the waiters was calm and relaxed but still very conscious about our needs. An exceptional pleasant restaurant to enjoy a wonderfull diner! The food was tastefull and delicious, we ordered sushi. All the fish was fresh, and the sushi was handmade in a separate sushi kitchen. With out a doubt some of the best... More

Excellent food and wines, great choices and fabulous staff. The restaurant is in a beautiful setting overlooking the sea with great views of the port and mountains. The food was delicious, with the substantial menu offering something for everyone, from sushi, meat, seafood, great salads etc. The waiters were great and couldn't do enough for you, also supplying us with... Me and my boyfriend visited twice during out stay in Crete and have to to say the food was beautiful, by far the best we had on our holiday. We had the sea food platter, meat platter and lobster and believe me the lobster was to die for! The waiters provided us with complimentary bottled water, traditional greek desert and... More

Dinner in Kymata was really a great experience. Delicious salad as appetizer, great sushi and seafood as a main dish and tradicional greek dessert combined with light white wine. Maybe the service could be a little bit faster but because the beautiful seaview it was worth visit.

Our first experience dining in Kymata saw that we returned for the following 4 consecutive nights and we only wish we had tried it earlier! The situation, view, and atmosphere of this restaurant takes you off the busy strip and into a place of peacefulness which oozes class. From the attentiveness of the staff, to the quality of the food,... More

Amazing, top class fine dining in Hersonissos, with a fantastic atmosphere. Overlooking the bay, I recommend the lobster, the tiger prawns (the size of a dinner plate!) with a champagne sauce... everything was just divine. Sushi. Fine wines and cocktails. We shall be back - very nicely done Kymata
