This is a new restaurant in Silpukhuri area. Firstly there was no designated parking area. Parked my car at the petrol depot. The approach to the restaurant is thru a rough unlit road and the restaurant is in a semi finished building. The hoarding said that the restaurant is open from 10am to 10 pm but when we went there... I love food of any kind and having never tried "authentic assamese fare" for a few years now, I decided to visit this place. The food was average with the "fish/chicken khorikaa" too stiff to chew properly. A real pity, considering that the khorikaa I tasted earlier was divine.

On the last day of our Guwahati visit, we wanted to try authentic Assamese cuisine for lunch. Khorikaa was the unanimous suggestion from local colleagues. Only I'm not sure which one we went to, after seeing 3 of them on TripAdvisor. The place was very simple, with no frills chairs and tables laid out in two sections, and people tucking... More

One of the first few restaurants in the city dedicated only to local cuisine. Khorika is a good place for those who want to try the local gastronomy as the food does taste authentic and is affordable too. The platter has a good combination of most local items. The service is however slow and the interiors definitely require maintenance, not... More

Khorika isn't meant to be prepared on a microwave, is it?? The waiters aren't meant to carry such labels! Now that is the problem, and now and then, i imagine that the maintenance, agan, could be better! Plastic chairs?? no!

Located in GS Road, it is agood restaurant for having ethnic Assamese food. Cost is normal and service is also good. But headvy rush during lunch time. You have to wait. You can taste some assamese Khorika ditems.

I absolutely LOVED my paneer assamese thali... Truly yummy, only complaint being that the rice was very cold. This was in contrast to my fellow diner's rice bowl which was steaming, though sadly his duck dish was predominantly bone... Meaning that even though he chewed each each piece thoroughly, the dish still looked mostly untouched when he was finished! Would... More

Healthy food , They have ethnic food which are less spicy & price is also nominal. The owner Atul Lahkar is a dynamic person & he included the assamese ethnic food in an international menu.
