As I've said in the title of this review - Fresh Grilled Fish. Nothing more, nothing less. So, if you're considering Swapan's, consider that your utmost priority is great fresh grilled fish. The decor is as a shack's decor is. Unpretentious. The people running the restaurant are unpretentious. We visited Swapan's for two dinners and one lunch during our trip... More

First up don't go here expecting super clean environment! Half the your time will be spent on keeping the fly out of the food. But the food is just awesome. Its authentic and its got the right amount of spice in it. Swapan is no more but his family is doing a good job continuing his legacy. We were quite... More

Don't judge a book by its cover would apt for this tiny eatery tuck away on a side of a street a few minutes away from the market at havelock. Skip it & you miss an fishy experience. The recipe for its one of a kind banana leaf fish is supposedly handed down from generations & I'm not going to... More

I was walking along the main road on Havelock when I spot this tiny restaurant: quite honestly, not really the first place you would enter if you based your choice on external appearances... BUT: as usual, never judge a book by its cover! The choice of fish varies every day, depending on the day's catch brought from the owner's brother:... More

The best fish we've ever tried! The place looks very basic, but the fish is always fresh. We sometimes came during the day to reserve a fish and arranged the time for dinner. The taste was great and Swapan is also a very nice person.

A small shack near the main market. His speciality is Whole Snapper done with his magic sauce. The hype about the place was more than it actually deserved. The fish was ok, nothing spectacular but the prices are the same as some of the bigger beach restaurants

Please dont go there. If you are on a budget trip then try other restaurants cause they'll be better. The food quality was quite unhygienic and i was seasick after that oily meal. They made parathas out of maida. Dont go there unless you want to spend the entire day in the washroom.
