One of the better Old Bags

In Columbus, there are a number of restaurants trying to corner the 'mediocre Irish pub' market, and usually Claddagh and Brazenhead do a better job of it. However the Old Bag of Nails in Gahanna is quite good, with better than average service, reasonable prices, and all you can eat fish every day... read more

There was a group of us in town for a funeral. We were staying at the airport so I really just chose this restaurant based on it's proximity to our hotel and the menu. I called the day before we were to arrive and asked if it were possible to get a table for 10 people. The manager said he... More

Group of six on a week night. Got seated right away. Drink orders in quick. Food orders took just a bit longer then I expected, but they were all FANTASTIC. Lots of food for the price. Great desserts

Business lunch. Fish and chips and beer battered pickles are excellent and some of the best selections. Service was very good, drinks were filled regularly. This place has a nice patio outside when the weather is nice, with a nice view of the river.

We recently had Thursday lunch at the Old Bag of Nails in Gahanna. The beer list at the restaurant was quite good and we really enjoyed the Chimay Blue and Clown Shoes Ohio Unidragon beers we ordered. For lunch we ordered the Gaylord burger and the fish & chips, which was all you can eat on Thursdays. The fish was... More

Really enjoyed the atmosphere, staff and food. They have a rolling menu of Beer they say changes often and had lots of selection that any beer lover would like. Service was a bit slow but food was excellent (yea it's bar food but very good bar food). The hamburgers were geat.. my wife had the Rubin and said it was... More

Had lunch there today, it was ok but a little expensive, $10 for a hamburger?? Service was ok. The patio outside looked like a great place to have a beer by the creek

Ate lunch at the Old Bag of Nails one afternoon with a business colleague. We chose to sit on the outside patio, which was a great decision. The wooded creek provided a break backdrop for the good food. Service was prompt and the food was tasty. They got us in and out within 45 minutes, which is an important requirement... More

We had 4 adults and we ordered 4 different items. All were served relatively quickly and hot. I had the fish & chips, which were excellent. It was not cheap, $12 for all-you-can-eat fish & chips, but I couldn't finish the two strips they brought me. Other attendees had the French Dip sandwich, another the mussels, and another a hamburger.... More
