A Nice Surprise

Went there to celebrate a relative's birthday based on my father-in-law's recommendation. Had a tasty beet salad, but it had more goat cheese than beets. For the entree, had an incredibly tender filet, about 2.5 " thick. Cut it with a butter knife tender! Dessert was an apple crisp with ricotta... read more

The chef is from New Orleans.....try the beignets! A charming place with delicious food. They have a seasonal menu that features a local flair. Loved the special salad with heirloom tomatoes they had in the summer...hoping they bring that back. Salmon is tasty too!

Have been here several times, and keep returning for the wonderful craft beer selection, friendly staff, and even better food. Have tried several menu items on our visits, and every one has exceeded expectations. We like the variety, they add new menu items regularly and have evening specials as well. Have had some wonderful and innovative soups, great salads, nice... More

Really enjoyed the food. Soup, sandwiches and salad. We were apprehensive because the place was not listed on my IPhone. Very glad we tried it.

I have been to 1808 about 3 or 4 times in the last 6 months. Each time there I have had a really good meal and a pleasurable dining experience. It is located right across from and old historic theater right off of the main street. I have ordered a number of dishes and the salmon is my favorite. They... More

I recently visited Delaware after being away for several years. I was surprised there was a restaurant of this caliber now operating there. I thought the service was top notch. My meal was good, and the atmosphere was fantastic, although a bit noisy.

Stopped here for lunch. We were seated promptly, but they forgot to ask the server. after waiting for a while for someone to come, we alerted the manager who profusely apologized and brought out drinks. Once that was solved, we ordered and had a great lunch. The server once again apologized for missing us and finally they deducted a substantial... More

We visited 1808 with friends who heard from friends that it was good! And it was! It is nice to have a great restaurant close to home.

Love this place! 48 craft beers on tap and New orleans style food can't be beat! Monday features half off draft beer all day long. Shrimp and grit and 1808 house salad are the best!

My husband and I went recently for a night out. The food was wonderful, the staff were friendly, and the decor was good. My only complaint would be the woman's bathrooms, they were dark and one of the light bulbs was blown, made things a little tough!!
